im wondering is that the plastic main blade holder that comes with it? if yes, then the thing might flex a lil bit more or break for those stick banging action. right?
btw, any chances of it coming into asia? say malaysia or singapore?

No problem with plastic grips. Just look how the Vibe, Stratus Milli fly 3d with plastic grips.
If you mean plastic main blade grip then yes they are plastic (GRP), this is the best choice of material for these and they are well designed so no fear of them breaking in flight.
There was talk of metal grips been offered as a option in the future but I won't be in a hurry to fit these, the damping will probably be worse, they will cost more, be heavier and harder on the bearings.
Check the Synergy website for dealers in your area, I am sure they wil be listed soon.

Thats easy to answer. Take an align Trex version 1. The plastic parts were junk and the metal upgrades improved it out of sight. Aligns metal parts are still not as good as some other manufacturers but hey guess what.....you pay for it. Then came the XL version. much beter parts but still idiots like me had to have the bling.
I owned raptors and the early ones were horrible. The R50 V2 was much better but still benefitted from upgraded parts to make it fly better. (metal head block as the plastic one got wobbly quickly) Remember plastic upgrade parts were not supplied only metal.....so by convention we naturally put metal upgrade parts all over our heli's. Some because they helped and other upgrades because everyone else did. It became a real bling war.
Now enter the much improved and higher quality plastics....a lot which have more forgiving but equally effective qualities versus metal. As Bobj put it...."There was talk of metal grips been offered as a option in the future but I won't be in a hurry to fit these, the damping will probably be worse, they will cost more, be heavier and harder on the bearings" That couldn't be said any better.
But hey on the Raptor 90 SE they look great huh??? But does it fly any better than the other heli's mentioned?? All the other METAL stuff you can bolt to your N9 probably won't make it fly differently but merely add weight? (the main enemy) The carbon frames if released probably won't make it fly any better although they look good. Weight may be reduced but it may be a marginal improvement...without seeing the weight difference it would be hard to comment (may have issues with Rf interference, increased vibration transference and we all know the cost of replacement)
All I have actually mentioned as the benefits are mostly looks which don't matter a darn when you are out there fanging huh?
It seems to be proving itself in the flying abilities department so spend your hard earned loot on fuel and stock spare parts. This is the only thing that will improve your flying.

fuel is the best way to go for sure. i recently changed my metal blade grips our for plastic ones on the raptor 50, lighter and cheaper to crash. really all you need in the head to be metal is the headblock washout base and swashplate. everything else is just for looks. and the advantage of the rest of the metal parts is so that people will buy them and make the heli company more money! if it sells, they will make it.

I agree j5coat.
The metal head block is a good addition. The Hirobo evo 50 has a half metal half plastic block that works well. The metal hub is bolted to the mast and the plastic head block is cap screwed with four bolts to the hub and fits very securely. This is as opposed to the R 50 where the whole hub is plastic and after being squeezed with the jesus bolt is pulled out of shape and can wobble. I think that piece is under huge pressure and the rigidity of metal is good in that position.
I can't stand wobbly swashes. I use a quick UK swash on the freya as they are top quality. (I do have a standard metal/plastic swash on the evo 50 and it is pretty wobbly now...I have tried to tighten it up but no luck)
I found the metal R 50 swash not much better than the stock Hirobo one. The N9 swash looks pretty beefy and from the reviews I have read is a tight slop free unit. I believe that the evo has become sloppier in the hover and during manouevres but my flying has got a lot better. When I wiggle the flybar carrier the slop is pretty bad and is mostly from the swash so I believe that is probably the cause. A really good quality swash and washout base is something I would look for in a kit for sure.
If the Synergy has those items covered as you say the rest is required mostly for ego and show.
I have stopped buying bling and started using a lot more fuel. My flying has improved hugely. I will only buy bling if it appears it is totally necessary (like maybe upgrading that sceadu evo swash)
