Just to let you guys know..I got a Synergy N9 ordered from the first batch from Ricks.. It's going straight to Ebay just like how the XBOX 360's did when they first came out..I wonder how much I will get for it???

Could you honestly tell if it was g-10 vs carbon, metal bearing blocks,metal engine mount vs. plastic once it's in the air?

I agree with what you are saying. The N9 was supposed to be a brilliant 3d heli that could be bought and repaired at the cost of a raptor. It appears to be very similar price wise to the stratus. With the stratus you get pretty much an all carbon fiber and metal helicopter. The synergy may fly well but it has to fly much better than the stratus to tempt the stratus owners to buy a synergy. We will see what happens. Surely the synergy can't be that good.

Wait until you get a chance to fly one, you will feel the differnce.
Don't forget there are a lot less parts in the Synergy and they are also very well made so you do tend to break a lot less.
One of the key things about the model is it is easy to build and REBUILD, I have tested this feature out a few times now:-)
It is almost a case of you have to crash the machine to really appreciate how practical it is.

Hi

Main gear is so bloody big I think you would be hard pushed to damage it, I never have, the tail gears or crown gear could be taken out in a crash if you are unlucky I think.
I have chipped a crown gear in a crash, if the tail hits then something has to give!

Hi

You could not compare it to a Raptor at all, as good as the Raptor's are the Synergy is in another league, much lighter feel to it in the air, much more locked in and just a nicer feel all round.
The Stratus is a more comparable machine in many ways flying wise but the Synergy is certainly more stable/accurate (just ask Duncan)and of course the parts count is much lower and is generally a much more simple so there for reliable design.

Hi Bob,

Just wondering if you are going to have any spares available for when the kit comes out at the 3DM? If I 'ding' it soon after getting it in the air (hopefully not the case!) I dont want to be waiting forever to get it flying again. Eveyone has been desperately waiting to get hold of one of these machines but what's the score with spare parts availability for Joe Public...

If it flies better than my Raptor 90s i'm gonna have the biggest grin you could imagine!

Prices..... Well it seems people thought that the Synergy was going to kill the Raptor's and Stratus by just beating their prices..... Well I'm not the brightest person in the world however I think that if you sit down and compare the prices of the comprable helicopters to each other the Raptor isn't that cheap either. I just took a look at the prices of the SE to repair after a crash and it's right up there with the Fury's, Stratus, Vibe, and now the Synergy.

For example.

90 SE ..... Extreme
T/B metal $20 ..... T/B metal $20

EXACTLY I wouldn't. As when you get to the SE.... You might as well have a Stratus or N9 for the amount of money you are spending. That is exactly what I was getting at. The whole "as cheap to fix as a raptor" term is used a little loosely by people that assume that M/A, JR, and others are just priced way above their reach. That notion got there because people just don't do the research and assume it's the truth.

I would have to say that the Synergy flys every bit as good as the Stratus, i like the Synergy even more because of how stable it is doing set Manoeuvres and how responsive it is as well, like having two machine's in one...............
