The FX is a Freya conversion and the EFX is a Freya Evo conversion

Ah ok

But are there any differences between them when you have done the conversion? Or is it just that you get different parts in each converson set?

the only differences are the fuel tank (which requires a different frameset) and a couple of other pieces

the clutch bell bearing block (EFX has 3 bearings)

the misc. pieces for the mixing arm modifications that are
unique between the std. Freya head and the Evo90 head.

How big is the tank on the Avant fx?

But can you feel any differences in the air of the two of them?

Im gona buy a Avant FX, ofcourse i want the newest and the best, but i guess there arnt any big differences between them then?

Is it so that the frames are the same exept that the EFX have a bigger hole for the slightly bigger fuel tank?

The Fuel tank is a lot larger and the head mods are different. My sugestiion is to go onto CX site and Dwonload both Manuals and take a look. The EVO or EFX kit has a plastic head to the X-spec or FX kit has a metal head block. Both FLY about the same seeing thats to point. The EFX HAS ABOUT 2-4 MINS MORE FLIGHT TIME. so your call. I would wate for the Aurora to come out, its the better buy.

I know that the aurora is better. Its just that i get a great price for it with elektronic and that it is cheaper to crash with. :-) Also i have a hirobo dealer 10 mins away from me. its just that i want a good 3d machine with good parts support! :-)

Um, the avant uses CX parts more then Hirobo parts, Boom, tail asmb. and some head parts the rest is fomr CX.

It has a slightly bigger tank and depending on the headspeed that you run that could get you the extra 2-4 minutes. just a guess.

seems hard to believe because the larger tank is 600CC vs. 540CC.

the engine consumes something like 60-90CC of fuel per minute

Lol, the tank of course. I agree with Z11355, only get an extra minute with the bigger tank. Add 10 secs if you use a header.

Does that mean, if I will to go anyway to use Eagle3 clutch and 600cc tank upgrades-ad ons to my current Eagle2 EX, its safe to go for Avant EFX, not FX at all?

Will all other Eagle2/normal Freya mechanics fit into EFX? Like, Eagle2 DTDS drive, tube tail gear etc.etc.?

the eagle 3 clutch will only work on the efx kit i believe. the tank will only work with the efx kit since the tank cut is shaped for it. all the other items will work with either kit. i'm going to convert my fx to T/t drive over the winter.

if you use the large fuel tank w/ the Eagle (which has a double clutch
bearing block), you must special order an 'FX w/ large fuel tank option'.

What that does is swap out the frameset so it fits the larger tank but
everything else is for the std. Freya. That is what I did since I put
the E3 tank in my std. Freya and then converted the whole thing
to an Avant

- 0414-307 E3 clutch shoe
- 0414-374 W BRG Clutch bell with gear (12T)
- 0414-376 clutch brg holder 19PAI (W=26)
- and of course 3 bearings needed for bearing holder...

As Eagle2 has W=46 between side frames, I must produce 2 pcs of 10mm spacers to carry out the conversion. But it will work.

if that is the case, then you need to specify that so they send
you the clutch block for the EFX (which is 3 bearing).

When I ordered mine, I got the 'FX w/ large tank option'. But
when I got around to actually building it, I got an Evo90 clutch/bell
so I needed to buy a new 3 bearing clutch block from CarbonExtreme
