Hey guys,

I have been flying with the 1.51B CC35 ESC's on my rexes for some time now and would love to help with setting them up as need be.

Just one note - i do not use a governor myself, i always found it the easiest to run a straight line throttle curve in fixed throttle mode, it works really great.

One important tip that has been mentioned here is one you upgrade to 1.51B you in fact need to enlarge the lower throttle ATV to bout 110-120 (Tx dependant) for the ESC to read the low stick position.

I'm using the 1.52 version now with an Aon 3500. According to Castle:

* Improved motor start routine for outrunner style motors
* Improved motor run routine to handle variances in outrunner style motors


I don't see a difference. Anyone else?

Trex motors are usually in-runners, not outrunners.

The Align motors are outrunners. Just they have an extra can over the outrunner part. So are the JGF motors...

The 1.52 software is mainly for large outrunners. You probably won't notice any difference in helis unless you're close to the max wattage the motor can handle (ie-pushing it hehehe)

Hey Joe, any chance CC might start posting a TODO list for the firmware? It'd be really cool if I could see what 1.6 and beyond had planned in them! One of the main reasons I'm considering the CC35 over the Jazz for my application IS your firmware upgradability via castle link. Having a kind of "vision" of the future direction would be *really* cool!

I3DM, I believe most t-rex motors are outrunners, the 430L appears an inrunner, but it is an outrunner.

ormandj...I brought up your post in the tech meeting this past Friday...it was warmly welcomed, and we WILL be incorporating something along the lines of your recommendation into our future tech support/engineering database! Thanks so much for the recommendation! We had thought of something similar internally before, but had never heard it recommended from an outside source. It made all the difference. A++ to you sir!!! FYI...anyone contacting tech support/engineering in the near future will have to fill out a short form giving details of the problem they are experiencing, the controller they're using, software version, etc. It makes my job (and Bernie's job) so much easier...we appreciate it very much as it helps us to help you. There WILL be a "suggestion box" on this form as well. (nudge nudge ormandj )

aamiggo...I am truly humbled by your praise. I have passed a link to this thread on to the engineers as they were the primary influence/contributors to the new heli software. They will be VERY glad to hear their hard work was not in vain.
