Synergy R/C Synergy N9 > Why am i leaning on buying a synergy when i want a Aurora? :-)

Hello!

I just want to share my thoughts. :-)

Something strange have happend to me. I have looked at the synergy for a long time and it have always looked very nice! And when i saw the Aurora the first thing a saw was that the synergy dont have chance against this machine. It just looked so nice, and the first impression was that it was much better built and the engineering just looked so much better to me! And i instantly wanted one! i was near to press the pre order button, but luckily i hold myself. I started to pay more attention to details on both helis.

I have always been i guy who have tested so much on my helis just to get that perfect setup for me, sometimes i have been all day on a field just to test different flybar ratios, and mixing setups etc etc. And still dint know what i liked the most! :-) I got tired of that, i just wanted to fly!

I have always wanted i heli with all carbon because all top pilots have that and it looks nice, i dint care about the prices. And now the more i look at both helis i just see that for me the synergy just makes more sense in every aspect.

The reason for me is, just that the synergy looks more easy in every aspect! on the avant head you have like 80 different setup possibilities, i would test myself to death there!(looks beautiful thou! :-) the synergy have g10 frames, perfect i say, its cheaper so fine by me! Aluminium boom vs carbon boom. Why do i need a carbon boom, is it for the looks? the aluminium which is half the price works just as good! the synergy looks to have a more easy setup tailrotor system, with only one crown gear. when the Aurora have a little different setup. The eCCPM setup just looks so easy also on the synergy. And the layout on the elektronic is perfectly arranged with everything vissible! And also the rubber around the tank on the synergy just looks like a good idea. The feel is that the synergy have less parts, im not sure thou just speculating.

I dont know about the spareparts prices yet thou so i can only speculate, but the synergy just looks a little cheaper to own.

I have a fury now and the parts pricing is driving me nuts here in sweden.

So for me the next important thing is the parts pricing and the heli that is most easy to maintain.

Well i havent yet decided which i will choose, but from i have been an Aurora fan i now leaning more and more for the synergy.

This is not a flame war, just my thought. :-)

What you think? :-)

Don't sleep on the N9! It has alot of potential in the right hands. And claiming that one heli is better than another only because one placed higher at some competetion is bogus. The pilot had much to do with that. If you've never seen the N9 in person I hope that you get a chance to. The pics of it don't do it justice. the Aurora is also a very well designed heli. once more info is available for the both of them then it would be fair to compare them.

The synergy is a great heli, I tryed " P.J "'s one last night and I felt at home straight away. You tell it what to do and it just does it pinpoint perfect and I'm no Curtis. The pitch punch is unreal.

I am looking at another 90 machine right now. How much is the N9? I have followed it since it was debuted. The pricing at that time was supposed to be around $1000USD. It had CF frames and lots of alum. Now the kit that will be shipping by July 15th is going to be downgraded to G10 and plastic parts for $1000 still.

Is the price going to be much less?

Its like showing you a Raptor 90 SE then selling you a standard 90 Raptor at a R90SE price.

The Aurora caught my eye and for the $$$ it give you exactly what you pay for....

Pardon my ignorance, but what is G10?

So the Aurora has more CF than the Synergy but costs the same?

Cheers,

Kinda like Carbon Fibre and Fibreglass. Its an industrial laminate made of glass cloth with epoxy resin binder.

i consulted google

heli+ground/heli+tree/heli+bush=not good

Kjetil has just built two of these and I must say that they look like great helicopters! It is really well engineered with simple and effective solutions. The drive train is extreemly smooth and efficient! Both kits were built without any issues and flew great right away. After trying them for the first time it was almost impossible to get the smile off his face

the simplicity is sweet. You look at all the 90's out there, and theyre all cluttered with plastic stiffners, and pushrods, ect. Sure the Aurora looks bloody sexy, but (BUT) im willing to bet that spares wont come cheap for people like me IMHO.

mmmmm simple
My 2 cents

heli+ground/heli+tree/heli+bush=not good

Synergy or Auora?

If all aspects are equal or similar i.e. design concepts, price, performance and repair costs. Auora might win my vote.

The front structure of the synergy is much like Futurs SE. If you break it, the radio system need to be install again. Since the throttle servo is installed in it, that means u might have wild chicken dance when u crash.

Rotor Head adjustment: only hiller input allowed.

I'm impressed with the synergy and I'm certain it will be a great machine to have. The Aurora will fly the same as the avant fx/efx since it has the same ccpm/servo layout and same head. Just that the avant/aurora head cost almost as much as the basic trex 600.
