Henseleit 3DNT - Rocket - 3DMP > a few 3D NT queries..

Location:

Hi

I am thinking of going for a 3DNT using the Webra 91 AAR. I have a webra 91 already in a robbe machine and the power is awesome.

Can anyone tell me the correct webra part number for the engine to give a right hand rotation. Cyber listed 2 last time I looked which was a bit confusing..

Also I guess the os manifold from revolution will fit the Webra as I am using an OS one on my robbe machine which fits ok.?

Also I believe the 3dnt kit now ships in version 2 - is this right?.

Thanks in advance

John

I think the two Webra engines CyberHeli list are different as one has the remote mixture carb and the other the Ultramix carb. I have the standard mix carb in mine.
The OS manifold fits straight on.

I had a problem with the fan - the OS crank is smaller than the Webra and so the hole needs machining out to 7.8mm. Not 8mm !!!!! (don't ask how I know this, but if anyone wants an NT fan with an 8mm hole, then I am your man)

The other problem I had was that the bottom face of the engine mounting lugs was not on the centreline of the crank, and I had to have it machined to correct this fault in order to set the belt tension correctly. It was about 1mm out.

According to 3DPP, Webra will be correcting both these problems soon.

The 'version two' differences are some small pegs that help ensure the tail belt does not skip on the front and rear pulleys and the main pulley is now made from metal and carbon fibre instead of delrin. I can post some piccies if you are interested.

Good luck if you go with the NT

Carps is just starting to fly a 3DNT with the Webra 91. He can probably point you in the right direction. Carps lives in the UK as well. You guys may not be too far apart for a visit.

Answer for FUTURAC

The JR Voyager 50 I have is the IMZ version available from CyberHeli.
I got mine with the IMZ engine too.

It is an excellent heli (once you change the stock paddles). Very very smooth, and very powerful. It is very fast and smooth through aerobatics. The head is full metal, frames are carbon, canopy is GRP.

Quality is excellent. I have a few upgrades on mine, but they are more 'eye candy' than actual performance improvements (with the exception of the tail lever)

You can see some piccies of it here

I would highly recommend this combo if you are after a 50 size heli.

Personally, I feel that 30 size and 60 size are going to be killed off by 50 size and 90 size. This heli handles like a 60 and has a better power to weight ratio than my Futura Nova ever did.

How do you guys check the fuel level in the 3DNT? The tank is hidden in the canopy.
Thanks

With my very limited experience of the NT, it looks like you have to rely solely on the TX timer. Thankfully the 10X has a beeper you can hear...

Has anyone put a level indicator on the outside of their canopy ? I'm guessing a piece of fuel pipe attached to the top and bottom of the tank would give a view of the level, and this could be positioned outside the canopy somehow

You guys that fly the 3DNT. How well is this machine do in auto rotation. Say compare to the Milli or the Nova.

I am interest in getting one, and one my thrill in flying is doing auto.

Thanks
