I don't know who has them in stock, but it's supposed to be around $600 for the aluminum frame ($700 for carbon) for the combo. It comes with the Motor, ESC and flight battery.

I've seen it fly ...you will not be disappointed. The only downside is the flight time...around 4 minutes. But the Align packs are supposed to be cheap.

Actully here are the prices.

.Aluminum frame version prices.
-Align RC T REX 600 Base Kit =$359.99

-Align RC T REX 600 Kit + 600L Brushless Motor +75Amp Gov ESC + 3A BEC=$500

.Carbon fibre frame version prices.
-Align RC T REX 600CF Base Kit=$479.99

-Align RC T REX 600CF Kit + 600L Brushless Motor +75Amp Gov ESC + 3A BEC=$620.99

It depends on the place your buying it from if it comes with or with out the batterys.

But the batterys alone are going to cost you over $200!!

Because the T-rex 600 is going to cost me too much, im thinking about buying a Predtor gasser first and then save up next year and buy the T-rex 600.

4min flight time. I think its more then 7 minutes.

Thunderpower has the 6s2p pack onsale for $200 now.

Mine hovers for 6 minutes and I put back 2780mah out of 4200mah. So it can easily go 7-8 minutes.

$200 for 6 min. of 3d!!!! Fly for 6 and charge for 60-90min. You will need at least 4 packs so you can keep the thing flying all day. So batteries will cost you $800. The rex450 is pretty economical to fly and I have 5 battery packs which cost about $250. About the same as one pack for the 600. I want the 600 but I just don't know if it is practical....I think for the bigger birds nitro is the way to go....Fly-fill'er up-fly.....QUICK TURN AROUND!!!

Everytime people discuss something about batteries, somebody would jump in with their opinion about how lipos are ripoff and they'd rather fly nitro. For the last time PLEASE post your opinions on those threads. We are not flying electric to save money. I'm sure people who flies electric knows what they got into, but I doubt those slimer flyers know what they're missing out.

I didn't say they were a rip-off knuckle head. I'm just saying they are expensive and people ought to know that having one battery isn't much fun to fly on. Makes for a pretty boring day. Please don't express your opinion about my opinion in this forum. Save that for your sensitivity training class.

Fly for 6 and charge for 60-90min ???? Apparently, you don't fly big electrics. I never take more than 45 minutes to charge at 1C. How? I only run the pack down 80-90%....Using an Astroflight 110 I go into stage 3 charging and then unplug my battery soon after. I don't wait for the full charge, the last 10% charge takes 20+ minutes, not neccesary in my opinion. I agree 1 battery is not fun. I think with 2 batteries you can get a lot of flight time in, if you're at a club like some of us....usually have to wait between flights for either a flight station or frequency pin. For someone like myself, my T-Rex 600 is on the way, and I already have two TP 6S2P's that I use in my planes, so it was an easy decision for me to sell my Nitro heli. Just want to give you another perspective. And...no fuel, starter, ignitior to drag around. No engine tuning. No forced auto's (unless something's REALLY wrong!!:eek

Yeah, I only have experience with the trex450 and the 2100mah packs. Seems like they take over and hour using my ICE charger. I don't want you guys to think I'm against big LIPO heli's. I want the rex600!!!! It just sucks that you have to spend so much up front in batts. With nitro, at least the energy cost is spread out over time. Which, do you suppose, is cheaper in the long run?? I think you can get about 100 useful flights out of a pack. At $200 that is $2 per flight. With nitro I think you can get 10 flights/ gallon and 100 flights = 10 gallon @ $25 = $250 dollars or $2.50/ flight. Looks like electric is slightly cheaper!! (I have no idea how accurate that is..)

If properly cared for, batteries offer a significantly cheaper alternative to nitro in the long run. Long run being the two key words, of course.

Normally a lipo can go more than that. They normally can go 150-200 cycles before their is a noticable performance drop. I did this out before, in the long run, electric is much cheaper.

You know you have to many heli's only when your wallet is empty.

I charge my 450's batteries in 20min from dead dead and they aren't even a little warm. Cool as can be. I can now charge my new 6S2P packs for my 600 in about 35 - 40 min from dead dead. Granted the TP-1010C charger is a chunk of change, but it is well worth it in my opinion. I have two of them with two TP-210V balancers. I can charge and fly non stop between my 450s and 600 if I would like. Again, expensive, but if the batteries are taken care of, they should last a long long time. But I think this thread started out by asking how the 600 flies. Mine went together perfectly for me in about 6 hours straight and it flies FANTASTIC. It is soooo smooth it is unbelievable! AND it is sooo much more quiet than nitro AND I don’t have to wipe it off for 20 min after flying (Had to get that in there lol)

Where did that heli come from? amm..I made it out of spare parts honey!

I just edited post #1643 & #1653
To send email to ThunderPower, the correct address is info@thunderpower-batteries.com

1)TP4200-6S2PB Sales price at $209.95 (or two packs at 199.95 each)

2)TP1010C charger ($30.00 off with any purchase of these batteries) will also begin from June 28.

3)Long life/extreme performance pack and TP1400-2SR fast charge/high rate receiver pack will begin from July 12 ($30.00 off for the charger with the purchase of performance pack)

Sorry for my mistake.

Official Website of Thunder Power is: www.thunderpower-batteries.com

Regards,
Charlie

Charlie posted this on rcgroups. They are having a sale. I however picked the Align 6S2P 4400mah 18c batt, I know its heavier but it can handle a higher discharge, and that batt was only 180 dollars.

Thanks.

Clearly I am dealing with some people who has their mind made up. The original thread starter started this thread asking for sources for T-Rex 600, not about some punkass' opinion who clearly knows nothing about larger electric. My original TP gen1 pack from 2003's raptor conversion is still going strong after well over 200 cycles. And FYI, I am a long time nitro flyer, now flying all electric fleet. If you know half of what you claim to know about "spreading cost", you'd know engines do wear out. If you haven't replaced a piston/sleeve yet, you just haven't flown long enough to know the longivity of these engines. Ice charger? Why don't you get a real charger and then come back and tell us how long a 6s2p take to charge?

Like I said, people don't get into large electric helis to save money. We certainly don't need somebody like you with no large electric heli experience coming here trying to be expert telling everybody what a ripoff they are.

knuckle head? Is that the best you can do? Get you facts straight before posting anymore BS here.

hey Steph man, way to go... i am with u totally on this one. all these guys coming here and giving their opinions - all wanna be experts who have no idea what and how the basics work... seriously i've heard enough crap about the trex 600 and how it can't run on 6s and all that blah blah... i don't know yet cause i am still waiting for mine to arrive. i'll give no opinions on it but all i'll say is that if the szabo brothers can do all that i think it should hold up... so guys just chill!!!
