The heli looks good, but i am wondering can the engine be removed without splitting the frames? There does not seem to be much room to slip it out, do you have to remove front portion of frame and dismantle the engine mount?

No problem to remove the engine without taking the frames apart.

You just simply remove one engine mount to allow the engine to swivel out.

are the frames carbon, they look like G10 from the photos?

To remove the engine, you take the pinion bearing block out from the top (after removing the hex adapter), then take one engine mount off (and slightly loosen the other), and it wiggles out.

The frames are G10.

Will have a build article on mine available on my site mid next week.

Hi Simon

You only have to remove the right engine mounting bolts from the engine, the block stays in place so you don't loose alignment, then remove the four bolts from the left block (which hold the block to the sideframe and out she comes.

Yeah sorry Bob, I wasn't very clear there. What you said is what I was trying to communicate .

When I said slightly loosen the other side I meant the long bolts that go through the plastic engine mount on the side you're taking off. I had to slightly loosen them so as to get the two button head bolts closest to the mount out as they fouled on the long bolts.

I'm sure this step isn't 'required' as such, it's just what I did at the time to get it out quick .

Interesting, it seems that UK users are getting a sample of the heli before the USA users.

I think this calls for it's own forum.

It looks like, synergy targets "oversea" market first. The hobby show, periodic publications(MHW, which has readers around the globe) and 3D Master in the UK have great influences on rest of the world, except Asia.

So far, we have get more info, UK part prices, seen more talks across the Atlantic Ocean.

Looks a pretty simple build.
How easy are the instructions to follow? Does the canopy come with any decals? If so what are they like... although I guess most are planning on painting!

It definately doesn't come out until the first day of the 3D Masters over here in the UK. If I could get my hands on one any earlier I would have believe me!! It's only the lucky few who have managed to blag one early...

Hope it does auto as well as my Fury...

Hi bob c 1

I haven't weighed mine yet but it feels fairly average and certainly not over weight more important in flight it feels light and responsive and the auto reseve is very good on 710's and the auto unit is very free running and durable!!

Hi

The canopy comes in all white, no coloured screen currently.
There will be decals with the full production kits but these are not in the pre-release kits.

I have been planning to update my website www.bobj.co.uk for a long time with Synergy and other stuff, hopefully this will finally happen in the next week or so certainly before the model is on full release.

Cheers
