The same store charges £719.89 ($1318) for a Raptor 90SE, so all things considered, the Synergy is _cheap_.

I think that figure would apply only if you are in the US and want to purchase it from overseas. I don't think that will be the price here, especially since the heli will have g-10 frames:

Its a composite, same material they use on the Fury Frames. There's supposed to be a Carbon Frame Set, but I can't seem to get any information on when it will be available. They are being a little too secretive about this thing...

Once i've picked up my kit at the 3D Masters i'm going to take the G-10 sideframes to be copied and CNC cut in Carbon as i've got someone nearby who does a lot of CNC parts for a well known UK aftermarket heli company. He should be able to knock them out pretty quick

On the specification sheet it says Carbon sideframes and now they are G-10 - a bit disappointing really but I guess they know they can sell them as an upgrade and get extra $$ for them. Seems most people will pay extra for Carbon!

I believe G-10 is a laminate board used extensively in making printed circuit boards after coating the sides with copper. Pretty tough but I don't know how it compares strength wise with carbon.

G10 is a fiberglass composit mainly used for the printed electronic sercuts as mentioned above. Its prity nice matirial for heli frames(just look how the Fury extrim fly).
The benafits over carbon are:
1) Cheeper
2) Not conductive - so les radio distortion
On the other side CF is lighter stronger matirial although I don't know by how much. Its posible to make stiff heli frame from G10 but it will be a litle havier then the same strengh CF frame.
