HIROBO Freya - Sceadu - Shuttle > Best Starter for EVO 50?

Hi there..............

Was out flying last night and I realized that my old Sullivan starter just is not up to the task of turning over my EVO 50 Hyper very well.

Need to get a new starter and as I like to say............(buy everything once)...........I would like to get a really good starter that will last me awhile and perhaps work on a .91 in the future?

Thanks for any help...............Lenny

Any starter should be able to start a 50 with ease. Most likely it's your battery. Batteries don't last forever. If you really think it's the starter send it in to Sullivan for repair. Any repairs should be fairly reasonable.

If you want the best starter available then get a Dynatron.

If you get a new starter, you can't go wrong with a Sullivan Dynatron.

Buy a Dynatron to begin with and be done with it. If you run into some spare $$ down the road buy some battery packs and make it cordless. I love my Dynatron!

I'll fourth that on the Dynatron..

I just got a nice cordless set-up for a fathers day gift..
Dynatron,batteries,batt-holder..etc.
Very nice, I have 20 cells on it(24 volts)...it will start anything from a .30 to a 24valve cummins diesel..
seriously though...go with a Dynatron and your done. IMO.

Pop the hood on your car and hook your starter to the car's battery. Then try and start your hyper. I'll bet she spins over with ease. I use my old yellow sullivan on my YS91 with no probs at all. I just make sure the amps are there when the starter is asking for them. I carry a small utility battery (garden tractor type) to the field. I use this to start and also run my field chargers. What are you currently using for a battery?

Even with my old tired hobbico starter and worn out 6cell batteries I can turn over my 50s. But my Dynatron on two 7 cell packs turns over everything.
