Yes I understand its shaft drive but I had heard that it was a sectional type shaft drive. Therefore you can change just the sections that are damaged in a crash and not have to change the entire shaft. Dont know if its true.

yes, that is true. I overheard Todd and Jason tell people on different occasions at last yrs Eastcoast funly that the shaft can be replaced with any correct diameter arrow shaft that you can buy at any sporting goods store.
[quote]Not the case at all. I need topics to populate any new forum. The product is not even in the hands of any end users yet. The forum will be created just as soon as it is.
Neither is the Aurora. And I know cause I'm one of the guys that has a prototype coming. So with all due respect, that arguement doesn't hold up.
I did notice that H-Frk had a Avant/Aurora forum first. Don't know if this had anything to do with it. Just a thought.

It will be interesting to hear some of the build times with this machine. I look forward to a machine that's easy to build and rebuild.

The Synergy has a one piece aluminium torque tube, with two support bearings glued in place

Hi

The tube drive is a large (10mm) thin wall high grade Ali arrow shaft
both end connectors are simply clamped in place, there are no holes drilled in the tube which could become a stress point and as the ends are removeable it is possible to just change the tube only rather than the complete assemble.

Cheers

Hope B&Q stock 10mm ali tubing then as i've been using their stuff to replace my Raptor 90 tube drive for the last couple of years and it costs under £2....

Looking forward to collecting it at the 3D Masters and looking forward even more to flying it the following week!

Darren.

Mark. Please answer the question. Why is there an Aurora forum while there is no synergy Forum? Both helis are in the same design phase???
Is it because there is an Avant forum and the Aurora is tacked onto that forum?

Even the Graupner range has 351 posts only and its own forum.

i already made this point in the first few posts about this. the synergy isn't getting a forum until they pay for advertising or it's released to joe bloggs.

what one comes first is anybodys guess at the moment. i have a feeling synergy might not pay anywhere as word of mouth is doing enough as it is. but, who knows.

cheers

Hmmm...I've said nothing wrong so I don't expect my posts to be deleted. Merely asked a bonafied question burning in lots of peoples minds.
It has been stated there has to be a product to discuss??? Yet there is a jokes forums for things that are made up and no forums for an about to be released actual product people are getting ready to purchase and build. Very reasonable to expect people to want to discuss that in other than a general forum.

New & Emerging R/C Helicopters is just that. Synergy will get it's own forum when traffic warrants and the product is in the hands of end users.

The new Avant forum has 10+ pages of topics relating to released product.

Then maybe you should take Aurora off the avant forum site as it has not been released yet??? Just seems a little one sided.

Synergy has 16 pages of posts via the search and the avant had 2 when I looked only yesterday....explain how your measuring your traffic. Seem's to me that your measuring stick isn't working properly.

Also when you consider that the 10 pages you state are not all related to the one product. You only have one Synergy N9 and the topics have been populated into the forum by yourself and not directly generated within the forum until the Aurora arrived.

Mark, I can pull holes all day long in your so called stats etc.

Can you do what any person who had an ounce integrity do and create the forum. This is becoming a farse.

p.s. pointless deleting the post I have a copy and if you did it would be the third on a topic that is aimed squarely at getting what is deserved within a forum that is meant to benefit the hobby.

Funny!!!
I just logged on to RR and the very first ad was ricks "preorder your synergy N9"

But it doesn't exist???? Neither does the Aurora in that case. The avant is a bunch of parts made for a Hirobo heli....the aurora is a heli made by CX? Am I right in saying that? Not trying to be an a$$ but trying to understand. As it's not released yet does that make the Aurora an unreleased product that is a new and emerging heli or is it a Hirobo? I am confused. Not down on the Aurora....In fact I think it looks great and may have one but I want to understand the difference between these two unreleased new and emerging heli products. Thanks
