tris

i've went with the enemy, i ordered fut, fu, argh i can't even say it. 9255 servos as i can't get servos i want from jr, it PAINS me no end to buy non jr servos but i want whats best for this heli and thats probably the best servo for the job at the moment.

the speed up gear is not done with the 8511, it's the 8311 i think.

Finally gone over to the dark side then ?? (be carefull, a 14mz might be next !!!)

9255's will be the way i am going too but i thought that the DS8311 and the DS8511 were one and the same servo (ones horizons and the others the rest of the world ??)

there is no way a 14mz is on the cards.....well, maybe if jr don't hurry up with this new 16x.

that aside, the 8511 is basically an 8611 in usa. they are different from the 8311, how i don't know.

cheers

There is the new 8311 which is a helicopter version of the 8411, though I think the 8311 number is US only. I think the UK, and possibly Australia are getting the 8511.. which is probably the same servo, just a different number for the different markets.

fair enough, i never looked into them tbh, it was a choice between the 8455/8511 or the fu fu fu, sod it. the OTHER one. lol

the 9255 is the better spec servo imo.

cheers

I think so too and lets face it, one of the major reasons you would by JR here in this country is their customer service.

By opening them up and swapping the gears around your invalidating the warranty anyway so there's no benefit over ripmax...

I've seen the OS91 and YS91 and a Webra 91 installed in the Synergy, so I guess the choice is yours.

The synergy site claims .60 - .91, so I would think you would be able to throw an OS70 or a YS61 in it too.

pilotError,

Out of curiousity, how did the Webra 91 do in comparison with the other two?

I have a Webra 91 in my Robbe Cuatro and I am thinking of getting a Webra 91 for my upcoming Synergy!

mark, can you add a synergy forum/area now that it has a release date in the not to distant.

i have one coming and would be good to have a dedicated area for it for the mass build that will take place on release day when everyone gets one.

I thought it was a Synergy forum that you asked for, not an Aurora one, or did you change your mind

(seems odd an Aurora forum has been created within in days of it being revealed yet we are still awaiting on a Synergy one !!!)

In all fairness the N9 should get a forum also. It's probably due to the fact that while the N9 has a release date no updated pics or more info has been released.

Not the case at all. I need topics to populate any new forum. The product is not even in the hands of any end users yet. The forum will be created just as soon as it is.

Thanks for the input.
