Paul is in the Masters class at the 3DM, he is sponsored by us and has been waiting a long time for his models, so he has jumped the
queue some what.
So all you have to do is fly to Masters level and I am sure you can jump it as well:-)

Got mine ordered from Skyline as soon as you could pre-order.

Love the Raptor 90's but need something new and different at the club.

If I enter the Clubman 3D next year with it and win do you think they'll give me $5...

Out of curiousity, is anyone else waiting to see what the parts will cost before they buy one?

SYnergy

Well Wyvern you bring up a good point about buying this machine before seeing what the parts cost. Which is why I have decided I am going to cancel my order (Just for now) only because Mujenpwr is getting one and we fly together all the time so I can just fly his and see how I like it and get to see how much parts are going to cost as well.

PARTS COST SOON AT RICKS

Ricks has their demo kit and will document the instructions and parts list with pricing on their website this week or next.

No need to cancel, any respectable dealer would not charge you a dime if you change your mind when they are available.

Aurora

Well plans have changed for me as I stated before I am not going to purchase the Synergy N9 instead I am going to try out the new Aurora, so between Mujenpwr and I we will get to fly both of these new release helicopters.

I'm going to hold off on getting the N9 for two reasons, 1.) I'm getting the Aurora, 2.) I'll wait and see how things go with the company before i order one. I forgot one more thing, I have way to many helis as it is.

i was going to hold off untill i seen part prices but i have been told some are under rappy prices and the rest are about it. thats good enough for me.

jk and todd are shrewd people, they know the prices have to be rappy to get people to buy them, the main market for helis imo is the rappy one, and they know that.

cheers

yeh i think Aurora killed the N9, if they sell this thing high priced, it will never sell, look at the Aurora, under 1k, that means... its all CF and Metal of for this plastic and CF. how much is this thing gonna cost?

they may sell the aurora for under 1 k but what is going to be the parts cost?
Everyone knows the purchase price is a small part of the equation. I'd buy a 2k machine if the parts were cheaper than a raptor. I won't buy a 1k machine if the parts cost are OTT. First crash and the purchase price won't be so important. When A raptor can be a winner any other machine will have to be based upon that sort of price. Why......because bling is not as important these days. (unless you want to show pony your beast)
Heli's are being designed better and stronger for todays 3D world and it's making bling mostly for show. Fuel is the most important "BLING" you can give your heli. So If a raptor works well and needs little bling to get it flying like A Szabo Jr did then to get market share back the higher priced heli companies need to be competitive. Not so anymore just a niche group of enthusiasts that will sell their first born child to get a heli. The raptor gave flying to the masses.....people otherwise not likely to have a go at the hobby. So a great flier with a raptor will outfly an average flier with the "best" heli. Money wasted I guess.

Sounds like the two companies have identified this and aimed high class machines at the R90SE market.....Machines needing no upgrading to be competitive at the highest level. Now we see what the parts prices will be.......So saving a hundred bucks at the start won't guarantee the same saving later and it's so unimportant.

I wonder with all the fancy stuff wether the Aurora is selling low due to numbers or perhaps a launch to get the heli out there. I know I will be looking at prices of normal crash parts.

I'd like to ask also what is the main reason to take CF over G10. How light is the Aurora to the Synergy? We don't plan on smacking the ground but when we do I want to replace the cheapest ones! (they both break and don't tell me any different.....I've done it) Is it strength? Or does CF just look better?

I think it's totally exciting that we are being presented great looking robust competitive heli's for under 1K. The parts cost will be a major for both companies and will sway a lot of peoples decisions so I don't believe the synergy has been killed by the Aurora. (also reliability and no reliance on upgrades to fly well will be a major consideration for buyers)

It depends on the price.
Synergy G10 vs Aurora CF
If Synergy going to be $900.00 or more.
I will go with the Aurora.

more to life than carbon here crash-.

if you want to use that argument then buy a pmax carbon at 850 and that includes blades worth nearly 150 dollars.

one factor for me is who sells the aurora here, midland helis. a club mate ordered bits for an avant on monday last week (funnily enough and they had them in stock) and they only got round to packaging them up on thursday, this isn't an isolated incident either, the EXACT same scenario happened to me when i was ordering trex parts not so long ago.

the spares currently for the avant give an indication of the part prices i would expect to see, also note that the aurora is a special launch price. they will take a hit on 1st batch to compete with the synergy, but that won't last forever.

the aurora is a beautiful heli and i'm sure it'll sell well but, part prices are paramount for me anyway and knowing i can put a normal alum arrowshaft in the synergy kicks a$$ imo as thats what it uses just now by all accounts.

the aurora also offers a cf boom, looks nice, wait until the bill comes in for that puppy and it'll look ever nicer!

i have to admit i have a synergy coming but the bling of the aurora is very tempting.

cheers

So what is the price for a boom and mainshaft from Skyline then? I'm sure a lot of people would like to know. Especially as I have an N9 ordered...
