Caliber 30 FT??? Saw it on the Kyosho Japan website. Looks nice. Says is is a limited edition. Sure would like to see that canopy on my Caliber 30. And the all metal swashplate would be a definite plus.

Eric at HeliProz doesn't think the US importer will bother to import it -- as they've had no indication that it will be imported. Bummer, I'd buy one tonight if I could find one.

Oh, and the Kyosho Japan website says "coming soon."

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is imported into the states, I'd like one to go with my current Caliber 30.

The Caliber and a TT 39 PRO --- would be a great team.

Nice, really nice! I also like that new Cal'90. Too bad the photos aren't good enough to enlarge so one can study the details...

I'll look into Jasons pages as soon as his server is ready.

Well, I have two calibers. One standard with OS 61 WC, and one with YS 80. I upgraded the frame/ clutch system on the 80. Also I mounted the 5-bladed Cal'50 fan. (Here in Norway, cooling has never been any problem, due to air temperature) As far as I concern, I really can not find anything wrong with the machines, ecept bad thrust bearings in the blade grips. The stock ones are worn afte a hard auto, but new, and better ones are just a few days away... Both perform and fly extremely smooth and at low noise. Any needs for head changes are beyond my flying style, as I sure believe that Curtis would have won any F3C first place using the stock Cal'60.

Mostly I love this machine due to its fantastic construction. I can spend hours in my hobby shop, just wiping and kissing them ready for next flight.

Yes they're expensive, but taller people than me have said that they're worth every penny, and i can't agree more! The .80 does have serious 3D capablities, using 3D paddles and blades...

You're all assuming it will be imported into the US.

I certainly hope so, but I have indications from at least one dealer that it most likely won't be.

Hope they're wrong.

The pics at Jason.net are really good, show much of the up-close detail of the mechanics.

I just called the Evil Empire and they said they're not sure if they're going to import it or not. Maybe if more of us call and pester them, they will. If not I'll just get mine from overseas.

I have a funny feeling that this all upgraded caliber is going to be way overprised... Frankly I don't want that much stuff "upgrades" in a 30 size heli. Heck all I want is the Fiberglass canopy Does anyone sell it overseas? -Steve

Shown in the ad of Radio Control Technique, the street price in Japan for the 30 FT is slightly over 40000Yen.

Cheers

Regarding the canopy...if someone can find it, I would be interested in duplicating it and producing the canopies for probably a fair amount less than Kyosho.

Thanks,

the correct japan website has been selling this canopy for some time now, it was like 69.99 US or something like that,

dont any of you caliber 30 owners know what canopys are compatable (with a lil riging)

it would be easer to rig one, instead of paying $100 dollars on a canopy imported from japan!!

plus my canopy i painted is toooooo dark it see near my pine trees!!!

4000 yen is $513 dollars, with just the heli, with shipping it will be closer to $600, its feasable, but is it worth it?
