Have a question on this mod. I set the swash plate about .55" from the top of the shaft with the swash plate level. I tried .5" but could not get full -10' pitch. Finally got the + and - 10 degree movent in the idle up mode. Here is the rub, when in regular 0 to 10 degree mode the minimum pitch that I can get at minimum sick is about +5 dregrees. Is this normal or do I have a setup problem?
With out the bell-hiller upgrade I had about 2-3 dregrees at zero stick in order to hover.
Havent tried to fly yet till I get this issue resolved.
ANY direction would be greaaaaatly appreciated.

How did you put on your links? The Adjustible ones go to the fly bar the fixed links go to the Swash Plate?
Also make sure the Swash is not bottoming out on the retaining collar or topping out on the main shaft hub.

Bell-Hiller

I checked the clearance of the swash plate, it has enough room both directions and does not botom or top out. the adjustible link is on the swash plate. I used the web sight for blade cp when I installed the upgrade and every thing looked like it matched in the pictures. I had to lower the swash plate to .55" from the top of the shaft in order to get enough clearance to get -10 pitch but other than that, not any other issues besides what i mentioned in the original posting.
THANKS FOR THE REPLY

I was just going off what you said on your second post you said that the Adjustible link is at the swash plate which is incorrect.....

Another idea is that your mixing arms are too tight and binding.

Also are you doing the following proceedure to set your pitch? Sound like you are but just throwing out ideas...

Flip you Tx to Idle up mode (Unplug you motors first) Center your Throttle stick on your TX adjust the links untill you blades are at 0 Degrees. Turn off the Idle up and recheck your blade pitch now at full throttle.

Also are you using the stock swash plate or the Alum one?

I ment that the links Are in the correct place and I am using the alum. swash plate.
When I set center throttle @ idle-up, the blade pitch is 0 degrees At full throttle in normal mode the pitch is +10 and in normal mode at low throttle the pitch is +3 dregrees. Is this +3 dregree @ low throttle, normal.
Sorry if I didnt explain it very well.

No problem Mike.

The Alum swash plate may be the issue. The guy at my local shop had
to modify his servo links so his Swash plate had full travel.

I would think your going to need -2 or -3 in normal mode if you plan to fly this bird around. you'll need the negitive pitch to get the heli down from forward flite......

Tom..... No "D" flying....
