Heliproz is not switching out or removing blades. We simply accomodated their request for bladeless kits. That is all. Overall it is more work on our end from a prodcution standpoint, but they are a valued dealership so we do what we can do for them. Just gives more choices to all.

Thanks for the clarification, but it still doesn't help the customer who wanted an Evo 50 kit with the MAH blades. I understand that they are motivated to sell their own blades, but what about selling what the CUSTOMER wants? I got the Evo kit from Rick's with the MAH blades for the same price as the no-blade kit.

Considering the $90 list price for these blades, it's a HECK of a deal!

Just wanted to add that the crash kit for the Sceadu 50 is very very good. At Rick's,for a $25 crash kit, you get a tailboom, flybar, main shaft and spindle. No blades are included but when you are flying a 50, most prefer to spend that money on their favorite carbon blades. I think that is a great price.

I've had the Raptor and I think the response is more agressive on the Raptor but the smoothness you get out of flying a Sceadu 50 is incredible... a very graceful and the push/pull system makes a difference. My is more agressive since I'm flying with Airtronics 94758's on the cyclic. I love my Sceadu and X-Spec! Welcome to the Wonderful World of Hirobo

How high do they go? Are those things hard too fly? How much do they cost?

Then you should buy from Ricks on this deal and be done with it. Both stores have their strong points and both have good service in general. I am glad we have more than one vendor to buy from out there. It keeps the prices down and the service honest.

I also think it's good to have more than one good supplier out there. I gave Heliproz quite a bit of business, as I ordered the engine, pipe and governor from them for my Evo 50. I'm generally quite happy with both of these shops, but it does bug me when retailers get out of sync with their customers.

Hi All

I have been reading quite a few comments about Hirobo and their parts back up on these pages.
I agree with you all completely on one point only! I have couple of Hirobo scale models, a 60 size JetRanger and a Bell 47 GS Gasser, the quality is fantastic and they fly beautifully. Some time back I had a switch fail on the 47, the rest is history.
Now your parts backup in the US maybe great and prompt, but here In oz Hirobo service really sucks!!!
I have done alot of research into getting parts from overseas, no doubt I can get them but at a much inflated price mostly due to our import tax system.
I have heard from a number of people here a similar story. Complete Hirobo kits are not a problem, Parts are a nightmare. We have only one importer for all the major brand helis here and appears they are only interested In making a quick buck, they are not interested in the hobby what so ever (THANKS FOR NOTHING "MODEL FLIGHT".Although in saying that, parts for the other brand heli's are far more available for what ever reason.
I don't know what the answer is and where I go from here to obtain the parts I require, but I believe that I can state "NO HIROBO PARTS AVAILABLE HERE IN AUSTRALIA"

THEY'LL SELL YOU THE PRODUCT BUT JUST DON'T ASK THEM TO BACK IT UP!!

Well, i have my Hirobo parts here in Australia within 3 days.

It isn't great, but its not as dire as you say. Model flight don't even sell Hirobo to my knowledge. (did they sell you the model, they don't have Hirobo listed on their website) The old importer was wings and things, and they were shocking! But Hirobo has taken it from them and given the importer deal to Toy traders. It's still a lot cheaper to go overseas, anything over $20 is worth looking around. The internet makes it a much smaller world.

My two cents.

Buy the metal radius block and washout base. I use cx dampers. Thats it.
(I have put the delrin main gear on but never killed the first one)

Buy nothing else. I have thrashed this heli and it's great. Tracks real nice and is reliable. OS 50 hyper. No cooling issues. I use carbon blades only. (TT and SAB)

I have no metal head, no metal tail, no carbon frames, no swanky metal arms, the stock swash etc. I have owned a R 50 v2. I like the evo much better. Nice build. J Green...great service.

Hi 555Ron

The RC shop that I order my parts through here In Perth go directly through Model Flight(so I am lead to believe by a shop owner and other people I have spoken to). I have ordered parts dating back to November 2005 and reordered Jan 2006 and NOTHING! RC shop blames model flight, excuse is they are not interested in parts, not enough $$$$ in it for them or probably MF has a bad name with Hirobo, who knows? and I don't really care any more.
I am just annoyed that I can get almost any other parts for JR, Vario, but not even a Hirobo ball link! I never would have believed it. But yes your correct, I will be taking my business overseas as it appears some of these businesses here could'nt organise a piss-up in a brewery.

Happy flying

Glenn

Glenn, that is odd. I know you can get Hirobo parts in Australia, i have from my local hobby store. Not many will stock Hirobo kits or their parts, so its almost pointless to support your local hobby store, you are just lining their pockets with money. I'm sure if you looked up toy traders you could get overnight service if you wanted a part badly though. I'm sure modelflight have nothing to do with hirobo, can't work that out

If you need any help, shoot me a PM, nothing is too much trouble for a fellow Hirobo-ite

I would go someplace like RCPowerSupply for parts if they are not readily available in your country. I still go to my LHS since he has always been helpful but if this is not an option by all means mail order.

Yes, MAH 600's are available separately from dealers or us direct. This month you can get a 10% discount on them as well. The part number is MAH600G2

425's are rumored to be in the works with the big three, MAH, V, SAB.

We will see.

Thanks

jeff

Sorry, to hear about the trouble in Australia.

Hi All

I was told of a company in Japan "IshiiMokei Co Ltd" a while ago now. I don't really like doing business with people that I can't see face to face with, but due to the circumstances sourcing hirobo parts here I think Im running out of options.
Is this "IshiiMokei Co Ltd" a reliable and trust worthy company to deal with, are they prompt In delivering parts and what are their prices like? has anyone had trouble dealing with them in the past?
I think I have seen their advert In MHW mag in the past ???
Any feed back would be great.

Regards Glenn

flame war starting...

Flew Hirobo for several years, switched to Raptors...Been a Raptor rep for three + years....I've seen and flown many Sceadus, an EVO or two...Some flew great, some not so great...Setup on a heli is everything, and the devil is in the details...Best thing about Hirobo is Jeff G...He works hard to promote the sport and Hirobo!
