| well, how did I get involved. My dad was in the military, I was always around heli's airplanes and the like at the base. I have alwasy been fasinated by the simple fact something so HUGE and HEAVY could take off the ground and fly with incredible grace! Heli's always interested me when I was growing up. I remember Armed Forces Day, they had Hugeys that you would be able to crawl all around in and that is where you would find me. 
As i got older, things changed but I always stopped to watch airplanes fly overhead, and the sound of jets or helis' always made me pause.
It was about 3 or so years ago I met a guy who flew heli's. He was kinda cute. I thought ot myself, gotta get to know this guy. Well, I did and he got me trying to fly planes. I tried and it wasnt' quite what I wanted. So at the beginning of this year, he has a heli. I asked to try it out. I was hooked. We would go out each night to a well lit parkinglot and I would fly a little. Finally he gave up trying to get stick time on his own heli and 'traded' it to me for a motor. I bought the 450X kit so I could build one and see how they work. Well I have been flying since January and I like it! I am learning what I can when I can and I am hooked. OH so hooked.
