Kyosho Caliber 30 & 60 - Concept - Nexus > Note on Correct Swash Plate for C 30

During my latest flight on the Cal'30, I suddenly discovered a bad side-ways "swash-plate wobble". This was caused by the center ball keeper coming loose from the swash. Yes, it was not fixed inside the swash at all! Momentarily, I thought that this could be fixed with a set screw through one of the "spare" holes, but doing so will lock the ball from moving. So, I used Loc-Tite bearing glue to fix it...

If you haven't experienced this already, I bet you're going to check this before next flight?

Is this with the stock swashplate of the Correct? Also Quick UK has a $60 swash plate for the Caliber.

Sure a nice plate, but I'd still go with the Correct part, thinking of the three bladed rotorhead, which will be a "must have" in the future...

am i going to have to replace my stock swashplate? i dont think it looks like it will last very long, also my throddle arm looks like it is made of the softest plastic ever, other than that the birdie purrs... i started it up for the first time last night at about 10pm, in my garrage, and i thought my wife was going to get pissed, and she said that she dident even hear it!!!!! boy is the caliber 30 quiet!!!

Just had my 16 to 18th flights on my Caliber and this thing is the King of Smooth. Winds in the 10 to 15 range did not upset the caliber very much. I am still not happy with the power I am getting from the OS 32 but I think my expectations are to high. I have been flying a Rappy 50 and an XCell Fury for the last 2 years. I am able to pull 9 deg of pitch both ways but not with out some complaning from the engine.

If you're into upgrading, make sure you spend the first money on the cooling fan, and the clutch bell.

Funny; I too had the first startup in my garage. The only comment from my wife was next day, when she thought I had swept the floor. I hadn't; I just had to make the first little hover in the garage too, due to stormy weather that evening...
