Please help me welcome a few new pilots to the HCAM field. These guys are just getting started with helis and are experienced plank pilots:

Steven H. - Rappy 50
Steven B. - Rappy 50
Rafael L. - Rappy 50

We also have a new (experienced) heli pilot from Hawaii (can't remember his name). He is waiting for the delivery of his helis.

On my last count, we now have about 6 heli pilots who fly the south field almost every weekend! Our total is now up to aprox. 11 pilots.

Jeff,
Just wanted to send a personal welcome to the new heli pilots at the field. Looks like things are changing for the better. Guess I will have to come check you guys out.

Ya - we need to get the field fixed up for helis.

The south end has been designated for hovering, but it is too small really.
We want to expand it by taking out the posts and fencing off the parking lot - more than doubling the size for hovering.

Hopefully we can do this over the winter and have a really nice field for helis by the spring.

Charge,
The clubs mentioned in this thread are all located in the Austin area. You would have to drive for 2.5 to 3 hours from Houston to get here. WHile you are more than welcome to do that if you wish, you might be better served locating one of hte many clubs in the Houston area. Go to this link: http://www.modelaircraft.org/clubsearch.aspx
and type in Houston, Texas. You will find hte contact info for a number of clubs in that area.

I hope that is helpful,
Joe

It's time to start thinking about another fuel order..

Wildcat Curtis 30%..

We need to get at least a 15 case minimum order together.

Just reply with how many cases you will take. If there is enough interest I will organize the shipment.

BTW: I'll take about 5 cases; so only 10 more to go.

Jeff,
I am going to ask a silly question, but how many gallons are in a case?

Also is anyone going to do some flying tomorrow?

Joe,
This looks like a great holiday weekend to burn some fuel - I will definitely be getting some stick time in (will mostly be at the south field - but will try to make it up to the north side). You are welcome to come fly with us at the south field (we have 4 new pilots just starting to do some FF).

I'm down to my last gallon of fuel & I'm waiting for a piston ring to come in today.
