I have gone through the posts and noone really mentions too much of the hand held 14.4 volts (2 X 7.2 volt) roto-starters.I'm looking towards oredering http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bi...p?&I=TE2609&P=7 and wonder if this is a good product ,as I would like to have a light weight device ,rather than to haul the starter and the gel battery.
If this is not good, are there similar brands available and please give me a link.Thanks.

I've never used one of those but have been told they are not so good. Heliproz has one that has "beefed up" gears and comes with both batteries and oneway/starter shaft for like $109. Some say it works well, some say it's crap but one thing they all agree on; it is VERY loud. Hate to say this but if you do a search there is quite a bit of info on them. Hope this helps you.

I just got one of these:

Scroll down to the "MiniMax"

I power it with two 7.2 volt 2700Mah batteries. It works very well. It starts my OS91 Cspec without any problems. I like the fact that it is very small and inexpensive. We'll see how long it lasts, but for now it works great.
