No issues you say? I know you have have a lot of success with your X-spec recently so I guess you would know. Are you flying any 3D on this set-up? What muffler are you running?

I did some 3D with it before I put on the SSZ-III head, and it pulled through what I could do just fine. I'm no hard core 3D nut tho

I would like to switch this thing over to 3D ratios after the Nats and see how she really does with that style of flying under the Evo head.

I'm using that $80 Century Quiet Tune 90 Muffler. It's a Hatori product distributed by Century. It's funny as it's rather unique and draws the question a lot. At a recent contest Cliff Hiatt and Wayne Mann asked WTF it was.

It uses no rear bracket or stays, and has a Curtis MPII style angled header. Plus the whole thing is nicely polished.

BTW, I have a buddy here that flies the low ratios on his YSs in all his Robbes. They are the smoothest machines at the field, and have no problems getting with the program. Tic Tocs, Piro-Flips, you name it. He uses the SB18 on those.

8.45 is recommended for 3D
7.92 is better suited for smooth 3D/FAI

Guys,

One more question?

Regarding blades , I have a set of MAH 700 G2 Kevlar available but I think they're too light for autos @164gr.

What do you think? , what blades are you using with your Evo head??

For tail blades I'll be using V's 95.

Anybody using Radix 690's or 710's any bogging with the 710's.

Thanks,

epc2.

Thanks to all who replied to this post.

My Evo should be here tomorrow can't wait.

I ordered the QUK swashplate ( I hope it's a good upgrade ) and the metal washout base.

My setup:

-Ys 91
-Hatori SB 16FH
-9351 on Collective and cyclic
-9254 on throttle
-611 Gyro
-Fromeco 4800 batt and Arizona Reg
-No Governor
-Radix 690 and Rotortech's 105

What do you think???

Am I going to be happy with the QUK swashplate??

Any mods needed during the building??

Thanks ,
