You think that the t-rex 600 is bad quality?
I don't think anybody here has said the Trex 600 is bad quality.... hell we have only seen a few brief videos of the thing. Likewise few have seen the competition either. To be proclaiming which e-heli were going to buy at this stage... sight unseen.... is crazy

im gettin one for sure. I dont understand why there is so much negativity towards this heli. People think its going to suck, people think that there is no way it will be able to run on a 6s2p.. i just dont understand how people are making these comments when it hasnt even been released yet. The videos clearly show the demos being flown with heavy 3d on the 6s2p battery. I know people are going to say 'yea but those are the pros'.. but the average user isnt going to push the 600 as hard as a pro would.. look at how most people fly the 450s, they hover around, fly some circuits, and some basic 3d. On top of that, Align is investing alot of time and money on letting the pro's fly the demo's to make sure they hold up to what the pros can do. They didnt do this before releasing the 450x and xl's so obviously more thought is being put into making sure these heli's hold up. And finally, with the issue on the battery.. i dont think thats a reason to put down this heli. If you believe it wont run on a 6s2p.. great, then thats ur opinion and ur entitled to it and you can run a higher cell battery (just like some fly 3s and some 4s with the 450.. both work). But watch the videos and think about it, why would align spend all the money in creating a battery specific to this heli that they will release just for it to fail after 3-4 flights like some are claiming it will? Align grabbed a huge market share with the 450s and are trying to expand to a bigger market. They aren't going to put their reputation on the line with a crappy battery pack with their name on it and a crappy heli. Its not smart business and they know this.. the 450's had their problems but it was still smart business (maybe a little risky at first).. but still smart because we all have 1 or MORE of these heli's. I think the 600 is gonna be a good heli and the 6s2p batts will hold up fine. Im not saying the average user will be able to pull the 3d the pros can with that battery, but then again most people cant fly that way anyway.. and im still using 3s batts in my 450 and people say u really need a 4s to 3d or you will blow ur battery but it hasnt happened to me yet or any of my friends.

Had I not recently gotten the Logo 10, I would've definitely bought one of these and slap on a 550 to reduce the battery load and increase responsiveness. Not everyone is into heavy stick banging, and for those folks 6S might be enough.

I'll most likely be getting one... why not, i want a larger e heli and dont want to mess with converting a raptor. and my trex 450 has served me well. I will be waiting 2 or so months before getting one but no the less will still be getting one.

I think it is all relative. As hard as one tries, you just can't get a mid-size Mercedes for $30,000 but for that, you can get a nicely blinged Toyota, which would perform just as well as the Mercedes in everyday use.

I have Logo's, but I am itchy to get a T-Rex 600, just because it is a different heli made by a company that has produced a very sucessful mini heli, the T-Rex 450.

I understand the psychology of bashing something you like, just because you really like it and want it better. How other-wise to explained the huge popularity of the T-Rex 450?

As I was told, Align's boss himself is a RC nut. He has a vision to produce a "T-model" of a heli for popular use -- good quality but not expensive. This is why he keeps all the parts production in Taiwan instead of farming them out to China. This way, he has a higher quality production and can inspect and change designs of parts right there. He owns a sucessful electric appliance manufacturing company which is the main part of his business. This hobby business is a "love" project of his, un-expectedly hugely sucessful.

We will soon see how the T-Rex 600 sells.

mess with converting a raptor
No need to mess, they have made their own E Raptor, soon to be released. I would almost bet SBK that Mikado will be brewing up something new soon as well.

For something that is mass produced, I'm impressed with the 450 SE quality. If any of you have tried cooking huge batches of food for starving folks, you'll know that when quantity goes up, quality tends to go down. I've been very happy with my SE, and with Krause and the Szabos giving their input on the new 600 and having a lot of say with the design, I feel quite confident that you'll get something good.

But Hoverdown is correct when it comes to the bottom line. We'll just have to wait for the reports from end users before final judgment is out.

I have fast-read most of what is said in this thread. One thing comes to mind, as most of you have not even seen a 600 with your own eyes I wonder where all the expertise comes from?

I have flown a 600 and fully intend to get one when they become available. It is a solid machine that flys well. That works for me.

Nope, not interested in the T600 size Helicopter right now, I am more in the market for a .30 sized like the Swift.

I can still fly it around most parks and it is cheaper to run on Lipos / Emoli.

Good Luck Align, But I'm no one's test pilot when it costs me $$$$'s
I'll Wait for the Trex600 V2 next year. same thing they did with the 450SE, the 450SE V2 fixed most of issues the first round of buyers faced.

So true! but as you know ...they WILL BUY IT nomatter how bad ...
I wait for V2 ..at least ...

I think a few people are going to be disapointed with the cost of performance with the 600. From what I have read about it needing a good power system and very good collective management, sounds expensive for what may be not very good performance. But for those where money is no object it will be fine. If and I say if the 600 has problems as did the TREX then it might be " Into the valley of death flew the 600"
What do you think about the EP8 from Quick Japan? all metal and a good size allowing for a reasonably priced power system for good performance.
Choosing a heli is like choosing a woman, some will get one just because they like it regardless of what people tell them or what they know is right.

Yep I am getting one, just waiting for the money from my last nitro heli sale. Value for money or what. Ilike the Lepton but the price is too high concidering that Hirobo would not have a huge amount on R & D to come up with it. But Hirobo quality is nice.
No more cleaning the gunk off the heli and all the other tuning etc.
Plug and play. Look after your batteries and all is good, + you can fly at the drop of a hate and not anoy everybody around you.

What is the "Wow" factor of TRex600?

For TRex400

A year and half ago, people said "Wow, that cute little thing can fly"

Several months later, people said "Wow, it can flip"

Several more months later, people said "Wow, it can funnel"

Then another several more months later, people said "Wow, it piro flips"

And finally, people said "Wow, it can do what a larger heli can do, I am hooked"

Then, I am puzzled at what the "Wow" factor of a new 50 size eHeli is?

"Wow, it is so cheap (or expensive)"?
