Hello Everyone,
Well it finally happened I landed in the river. Good thing it was my V3 Hummer. I should of used my heli pad ,but no I've been using the picnic table by the seawall for take-offs and landings no problem until I installed the umbrella which took half my surface away. I was landing the V3 as I was a liitle close to the edge and as I came down the heli went forward sliding off the table into the river. I retrieved it and let it dry for a day..well it's as good as new no problem with the electrics nor the battery.

Hi Arnie,

Oh my gawd! You mentioned you were a little concerned about the water. Let us know how you make out. How is your battery??

Being an avid kayaker, I've dumped all kinds of electronics in the water. I've had the best luck removing the power source and opening up everything and leaving it in the sun for a few day to 'dehydrate'.

hope you have good luck, and loose the umbrella

Cheers,
Leslie

Hi Leslie,
I just let it dry out for a day and everything works fine ,flew it with the TP 900 li-po that went in the river ,I got about 8 minutes of flight ,it's on the charger now. Thank God I had favor on this one cause I would of never thought it would fly again.

Arnie you should put the floats on before you land on the water, not after...
Glad to hear you revived the v3 and all is well.... I have my hotheli SE done and hovered indoors with it, everything checked out perfect, now I just need some good weather to get outside with it to see what it can do........

Tom..... No "D" flying....

Hi Tom,
Good to hear your SE is built and flying ,the good weather will come as I finally was able to put the garden in. Yes the floats might be an important option around here. Hope you get out on your boat soon.
