I just charged my pack on my charger checking voltage as I went, I saw voltage hit 12.60 and disconnected the pack but when I put the voltmeter back on it was at 12.45. The pack is supposed to read 12.60 resting right? So that would mean it needs to charge to like 12.70 on the charger or so?

No, you do not want the charger to charge to 12.7v. Let a pack peak on the charger, and then leave it connected, watch the voltage then. It will drop off a bit naturally after it's done charging.

the charger is overcharging it so I can't let it peak on the charger. I need to know if I stop charging it right when I hit 12.6 or if I let it charge until it is at 12.6 resting.

Most chargers go into constant voltage mode , which in reality limits the current being delivered to maintain 12.6V . So the battery may well sit at 12.6V for several minutes on the charger , when the current required to maintain 12.6V drops to a certain level , the charge is terminated .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

So we have established that his charger is overcharging. Mine goes to 12.6 and no higher.
With my lipo alarm set to 3.2v I only put back 80% The alarm is a backup for when my brain forgets the time. If you fly and don't have any concept of time you will bugger your packs. I have an idea of how long I can fly and bring the heli close and climb out if the alarm goes off I know that is as close to time up as I need to go.
A little common sense goes a long way to solving these problems. You need to read all the posts and take note of common things said and then decide if it applies to you.
Some of us need to have a more open mind to other peoples information rather than taking a superior position of complete knoledge.
As far as I know and I stand to be corrected, GOD does not fly electric helis

I tried charging it again last night. When it is done charging and I take it off, the resting voltage is 12.8 but that quickly drops down to 12.72 or so. According to thunderpower. Anywhere between 4.2-4.3 is good as long as it isn't over 4.3. So is this really bad?

Well i have not check my packs with a volt meter time there finished charging but i think for sure that my charger messed them up. I got to looking at my TP 1320mah lipos for my blade cp today and found that both of them are puffy too now that makes 6 bad batteys on 2 helis now don't that sound like a charging problem? When you guys land you trex what is the battery temp(or let me say what the max temp should be)? I want to know as much as posible to make sure i don't have any more bad batterys.

Thanks for all the help and tips

I think it is the discharge voltage messing it up and not the charger. My batteries were coming out hot off the trex and now that I am being more careful, they are coming warm. I should have my lipo alarm built in the next couple of days.

Don't use the BL__DY charger it's stuffing your batts, they will still suffer on discharge because of damage on charge. You have tried different batts and different situations and every thing points to the charger. Without being rude , are you blind. Take it back before you end up with a batt causing you or your property damage. Don't store them in the house etc and keep them in a fire proof container, because puffed batterys have been known to go off days afterwards.

I am sending the charger back to have it worked on to see if anything is wrong with it, in the mean time i bought a new 4 pack charger it a Electrifly Polycharge4 all my friends use it and they have not had any problems with it. I put a balancer(tp 205) on my batterys and only one out of 6 was imbalanced so that could have not messed them up.

heliproz offers a low battery warning alram for lipos is it any good?

Thanks for help

if you can solder, you can make a lipo alarm yourself. checkout this thread. I am going to do it soon.

My friend is trying to help me add LED's to it since he's an engineer and all I pretty much understand is where to solder

After taking 1400mA from my TP2100's , which is a six minute flight for me , the packs are luke warm . If you want an exact temp , I'll check with an infra red gun , along with ambient temp .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

I have been in electronics all my life and making these things are easy if you have the necessary items like a good range of resistors. But if you have to buy them from RS and mess around to get the voltage right and then know that it is working as it should. I think for those people for peice of mind purchase something known to work. You may save a few dollars on the alarm but cost alot more on a buggered battery if you get it wrong. You also need a variable power supply and digital meter to do it accurately.
Try this place for LIPO alarms the are fabulous

Unless you have someone to make it for you who cat be certain that it is working at the correct voltage,BUY one.
I have a V@ form the above supplier with two strobing leds and two navagation led(not used) and beeper. Goes off at 3.2v per cell (9.6v) and I only ever put 80% back into my battery.
So you just fly until you either /or see the strobes on solid and the beeper going.

I noticed when reading the original post, you are doing light 3d flight. While flying, how is your collective management?

If it is bad, I would not be suprised if you are overdrawing the packs, which won't reduce mamps, or volts that much, yet if you use the burst c for to long, will still do serious damage to the pack.

You know you have to many heli's only when your wallet is empty.

I have about 50 flights on my APEX 2100 so far so good.
I tried it because of the price $46.00. I actually get a little more flight time on the APEX over my TP2100's but The TP's have a lot more flight time on them. But no swelling yet.
