Between these examples who has the best looking 60 sized Jet Ranger for the buck when completed :
Minature Air
Funky
Century
I have excluded Vario because XL mechs will be used and they wont fit Vario anyway. Does anyone know what Min air charges for their scaler Ranger? Their webpage of course has no prices on anything.

I believe the Century and Fun-Key fuses are both made by Fun-Key which is the old Yellow Aircraft stuff. I may be wrong as I have heard that Century claims to now make their own stuff. From my experiences these kits are a little sparse with little to no instructions and the glass is a little thin, but do wind up making very fine scale type models with a little TLC.
Vario stuff will hold X-Cell mechanics very nicely. The Vario kits do not however come already fitted for X-Cell mechanics. You will have to manufacture your own attachments into the Vario kits for the mechanics, just as would be required to do so for ANY mechanics to be used in a Century/ Fun-Key fuse kit. It is really not all that hard to do, just make sure to attach the mechanics to both the bottom and TOP of the fuse.

Miniature Aircraft does not carry a Jet Ranger but does carry a Long Ranger. This kit is very complete and includes very good detail and fit to an X-Cell. The catalog lists the fuse: #2515 for Suggested Retail of $439.95 and I am sure you can get it for less than full retail. You can also get full replacement parts for this kit, that is something that may be hard to do with Century/ Fun-Key.

Hope this helps!

Sandy so your saying the XL will fit it? If so do you have 1 in stock? If so, Ill buy 1. I just thought the Vario fuses had to have the mechs mount on the top like I saw in the pics. Let me know that is a GREAT price! Dave

Jet Ranger

Check out the Robbe Jet Ranger kit, it comes with torque tube and jell coated so you don't have to paint it, it has a decal kit. I think its easy to get it ready cut out the windows and glue a few things in there and your ready in 1 day, and its a little larger than other kits you can get your hands in there and work on it. Its also one of the best one I have seen if you want a pic of mine e mail me. 1969rt@optonline.net

Xcell into the Ranger ??

Sandy: I have a pre 99 SE glow, with OS 61 SX side exhaust (right side as viewed from rear) and I'm interested in putting it into the Ranger Fuse you offer. What exhaust system should I get, and will I use the original tailboom in the fuse?? if so, how long of a boom should I have? Thanks for bringing this sale to my attention, I'm looking for a fuse now. James
