Isn´t it time for carbon extreme to bring a conversion kit for a .50 size like the sceadu evo to the market? Don´t you think?

This subject has been raised many times in the past. From what has been posted, CE has no intention to put together a package for the 50 size EVO.

It's really too bad because there are a lot of pilots that would buy one. I know I would.

Considering the price of the Avant, why would you want one in a 50-class?

When this was last discussed, Augusto pointed out that the finished machine would cost almost as much as the 90-class machine. About the only difference would be the price of the engine and blades.

The Evo flies great as it is. Just look at what Pete Niotis can do with one.

its the buyers choice to find that acceptable or not.. for instance, i would buy one in a heart beat.

it does suck that there wont be one, but the funny thing about it is... it KEEPS coming up, and people KEEP saying theyre interested..

I would think it's the manufacturer's choice to expend resources
to design such a thing on the HOPE that people will buy it.

A prudent manufacturer does his homework first as to the
COMMERCIAL viability of a product.

No matter what you all believe, manufacturers, distrib, stores are in this to make a profit, some more than others but still no one
(sane) is in this to lose money.

of course the r&d would be expensive, but they dont need to produce eleventy billion of them, from this post and several others like it.. there IS interest in such a kit.

im just saying its not a valid point to say its going to cost the same as a 90 size coversion as a reason not make it.. because some people WANT it, and WOULD pay for it even after that was said.

many many people enjoy 50 size helis, sure the 90 is king of the hill, but that doesnt mean it should get all the love and attention(well from a money making stand point it does ). its not like there isnt already c/f frames available.. but its obvious that people would like one from CX considering the ASTRONOMCIAL work they did from the freya base.

We explored that possibility but we dropped it because the problem with an EVO 50 conversion kit is that it would force us to supply a smaller version of the same parts that are used in the 90 sized avant so the costs and therefore final price to the consumer would be identical to the Avant 90. That's why we abandoned the idea of a conversion kit altogether.

Please stop asking this question over and over. We are not going to make an Avant for the EVO 50.

Augusto.

first off, if the R&D is expensive, then they WANT to sell lots of
them so the cost is spread over many units.

Just because a couple of people have expressed interest, that doesn't
mean it's economically viable.

I'm sure the cost would be comparable to a 90 but the market will
only bear so much. Recall the YS50. They're making nothing on
them and they have limited production resources so why would they
devote those resources to making LESS money?

How well is that KSJ CF frame selling by the way?

So how many people are going to buy a $369 machine and then a
400+ conversion for it?

It'll be interesting to see how machines like the Lepton and
Mini-Joker sell since they are in a similar market.
