Beginners Corner > balance tail blades?

Ok, I think I've posted enough questions already, but just one more Is balancing your tail blades a common thing? I'm noticed some tail vibration during hover and decided to check the tail blades. Sure enough they were out of balance...and not just a little. It sure took a lot of tracking tape as one blade was significantly heavier than the other. I'm just wondering if everyone balances tail blades or if I had a unique situation...

most definitely. did you just check for equal weight? c of g needs to be the same also. the tail although much smaller than the main rotor, turns at a much higher rpm.
