Hello all, I'm finishing up on my Avant FX and noticed the main gear is pretty tight with the pinion gear. I'm running the 8.45 ratio for the YS. The tail drive gears are fine. Also notice the main gear bearly rubs on the tail counter gear. Seems like the gears are lower then they should be. The bearing blocks seem to all be the right direct according to the instructions. Anybody have a simular problem?

If it's an Avant FX then the parts likely came came from a Freya or X-Spec. For 8.45 make sure the gear is a 93 tooth and the pinion is an 11 tooth pinion.

The orientation of the blocks include both the mainshaft blocks and the starter shaft block. Please make sure they are correct. If the main gear rubs in the tail pulley shaft is very likely you have an 8.08 ratio with a 97 tooth main gear. If that's the case then you need to follow the manual instructions for the 8.08 ratio that requires removal of the sleeve.

The gears are 93 and 11 and the blocks are right according to the instructions. Main gear block notches facing aft and the clutch bearing block notch facing forward. They are not real tight but tighter then I would like. No free play at all.
