I have just got a raptor 60 with the TT 70 engine. My question is how much difference is there between the 70 and the 90 lump? as in a OS90c spec. Just wondering what it will be like before i get it in the air - Just purchasing servos at the mo

I think what your asking "lump?" is how fast will it be? How much Grunt does it have? The grunt factor between a 70 and a 90 is phenominal. The 70 flys the big birds around ok, but the 90 really gets it moving. There is no comparison the nice part is tho the 70 will teach you great collective management.

I am running a ys 61 in my 60 size heli and was wondering if it would make much difference if I put the os 70 in it or would it be about the same?

flyride,

It would be relatively the same.. Some even say you are producing more power than the OS70... I say most couldn't tell the difference. You would not benefit from an upgrade to an OS 70 unless your 60 was tired and worn out.

The best thing you can do, as long as that YS61 isn't a tired engine is to strap on a Hatori pipe!

Buddy of mine at the field just did that to his and it runs like a dream. Quite a bit more power. He said he noticed a difference right away. His old pipe was a MP2

I've just done the same thing with my R90 - YS91
Took off the MP2 cause it got damaged in a thudering fall to the earth, strapped on the SB-16 and noticed a HUGE difference!

Good luck!

It seems to still have plenty of power for a 60 size engine and seems to run strong but I have nothing to compare it to so how do you know if it is getting tired?
