Sweet!!!!

I think this is the most underrated, all around best deal, micro out there

I have two hummys,

#1

same motor and esc as yours
s75's all around
gy190
tp 1320
metal tail
rest stock.

Flys great, have to fly the tail a bit and a little noisy.

#2
cc10
stock hummy motor
gy240
hs55's on cyclic, hs65 on tail
tp 1320
rest stock.

Really smooth, tail is rock solid, not quite as powerful as the first. Having a strange intermittent problem with this one that I haven't nailed down yet, but I think its binding in the head.

These things fly great, I love the fact that it makes my backyard alot larger compared to my trex.

The 3d pro should be alot more talked about because its like a mini rex. Personally, I like the slightly twitchier behavior over the rex, and it really handles the wind well

Have you managed to get 10 degrees of negative pitch out of it? and if so how?

Hi TommyB, for your 2nd heli, maybe if you add a Ubec to power your servos and Rx...

The cc10 is suppose the power 3 servos with a 11.1v lipo...

I have almost the same setup on my HB King as yor 2nd...

Yeah the metal blade grips do the trick. I will try to get a camera and shoot a nice video.

The tail is here also rock solid with the GY240

to Martin

Hey Martin, thanks for the advice on the ubec. Yeah I bought this setup used and thought the cc10 was a little light. I swapped the hs65 for the hs 50 that was on the tail because of tail wagging, then it worked fine for several flights.

I just tried it again, and if I engage throttle hold the "glitching" goes away. As soon as I turn off throttle hold, the motor and servos will twitch, then if I spool up I have a very bad main rotor vibration (blades go out of track) which I believe is inducing the tail slapping. I'd rather not go ubec, if upgrading the speed control would solve the problem.

What are you using for esc? I have an align 25a (non gov) in my other one and it is not nearly as smooth as cc products. Plus I like the programmability of the CC stuff. The cc25 would seem to be overkill considering that the 10a seems to work fine at times.

If anyone has an esc for the 3dpro that they are seling, please pm me. If I have to buy new I was thinking of getting the century 18a.

Thanks,

Tom

Get yourself a Quark 22, fully programmable and no major probs.
Heatsink on it as well which is a nice touch.

If you bling it, they will come :D

twitching....

So Martin,

A BEC will cure my problem? I really like the cc10 otherwise. I guess $20 on a BEC is better than buying a cc25.

I tried a tanic 1050 (I think its 8c) pack today and it will fly on that. I guess I am overloading the cc10 with the tp 1320's. Anyone care to comment whether that is what is going on or not? What would typically happen when you overload an esc?

Finally how does a bec fix this problem if in fact it would fix it?

Hi Tommy, I am not sure... just a guess.. for 15$ I may buy it ..

http://www.helidirect.com/product_i...roducts_id=1157

When you move your heli with a ccpm swashplate all the 3 servos are always working... maybe to much with the 4th servo for the tail plus the gyro and receiver...

Again I am not sure that this is your problem..

For the 1320.. very good ... this is your motor who pull amp not the battery pushing is power..

TommyB. I just took the cc10 off of mine and put on a cc25. I'll post the results. The new cc25 has a bigger BEC. The 10 was good for hovering around, but, actual flying around overloaded mine.

My opinion is the CC10 is too small for the Pro, most motor's will really have that thing working it's butt off. On mine I ran a CC25 with the JGF 400 motor and it never had a problem, what-so-ever!

Just a though but why not get yourself a CC25 and sell the CC10, the difference in price is minimal.

I just flew mine with the new CC25! BIG difference. More power, More responsive, very nice slow sart feature. ESC not even warm. This heli might be my new favorite.

I just flew a second battery pack with the CC25. It is WAY better. I guess the servo's and gyro are getting more power.

Hi Greybird, The CC10 is capable of 15 amp. so If the motor pull max 10, I think the CC10 is enough..

If you have better performance, dont you think it is because the new BEC on the CC25 is 3amp instead of 1.5amp like the CC10 ?

In another word, maybe 1.5amp BEC is not enough ??

What do you think ?

My gearbox exploded, just after 25 flights

I'm going to order the microheli tail case and bell crank/pitch sliders. If you want to use the stock gearbox then glue it with some epoxy.

Damage:
-gearbox
-tail blade grip (the bearing blow up in pieces)
-gears hs-50
-1x gears hs-55
-tail pitch lever/slider
-main blades

The inner tail crown gear is not even stripped.

Get the belt drive from rchelitech, comes with a very strong moulded plastic tailbox that wont explode, and the belt is super smooth unlike the shaft drive and no more crown gear to care about .
And if you can get a set of grey (old style) t-rex tail blade grips thay are a way better replacement than the useless stock items.

Oh and i forgot that with a belt conversion you can stretch it a bit and use 280-305mm blades.(t-rex 397 tooth belt and find some suitable boom material to be cut to length)
I have been running 305's but the motor is not really up to the job.

Thinking about the belt drive conversion to, I want to do that later. Helitech also have a kit without the tailbox, the microheli tailbox looks sweet

Or is it not possible to use the microheli case together with the helitech belt drive conversion?

I think it says on the helitech site that you need to modify the micoheli tailbox to use the belt drive.

Anyone know what size bearings to get for the century metal tail grips? One of mine is a little notchy.

Which trex tail rotor will work with the 3dpro?

Thanks,

Tom
