You guys that think nitro still dominates got a point.

But hey, people do buy Ion-x and spend $$$ to convert their raptor into electric. Why? because its fun and its clean energy!

For sure, big trex is not going to change the market or anything, but it will provide an affordable alternative (more expensive, but affordable).

If I had the money for lots of lipos I would fly the larger EP choppers, I have ZERO interest in Nitro choppers.

So for me even if Nitro is cheaper I am not interested.

But seriously, there are a pile of good sites closer than that which allow me to fly the 600. I have an X-Cell 60 that I love. But I never fly it, because I just don't want to join a club, join AMA, and drive 20 miles in bay area traffic to do so.

In your case that's a very valid point and it maybe others too have this kind of problem. ???

Well from the long list of Trex 600 advantages NOT! I still can see no reasons to make any of us doubters think that Align are not shooting themselves in the foot (modesty prevents me from saying 'screwed the pooch' ) Even more so now as I have just seen the posts announcing TT release of a 50 class electric. That small market just got considerably smaller

Now if anybody would like to make a list of advantages of the Trex450....they may begin to understand why the 450 suceeds while the 600 will bomb for Align.

FlightPower and Thunder Tiger are currently in close co-operation on the power system for the soon to be released electric Raptor. FlightPower is preparing to show this model as a world-first at Sandown Model Symposium in May 2006.

From late April / May 2006 Thunder Tiger will make a FlightPower/Thunder Tiger co-branded series of batteries available to Thunder Tiger distributors world wide (including Amerang the UK). FlightPower Manufacturing Malaysia will work closely with Thunder Tiger on world-wide order fullfliment. Technical backup and commercial liaison for the co-brand EVO-20 packs will be available from FlightPower in the UK.

Still just talk. I do not see one. They have been talking about it for a long time and no one has a picture of one. I think it is Thunder Tiger that is going to come out with one last.

They will be trying to compete with Align.

I will just wait and see how does what and when.

I do see a T-Rex 600 right now.

I was told they are manufacturing the kits now. Danny and Eric was flying the prototypes because the kits was not complete to get one.

I am glad a company is letting the pros fly the prototypes to make sure there does not need any changes before shipping.

I do not see Thunder Tiger letting there reps fly any prototypes. They are going to let you test them for Thunder Tiger.

If you can remember the Synergy, e-Raptor and a lot more and we can not see them or buy one. After 2 year you can now see a Synergy but can not buy one.

I agree with you. It is time for them to get it out or be left behind with the companies that are showing it and going to release one.

There is a lot of companies that is going to get into the electric market and I think that is great. I think that electric is going to be the future.

what the pro's fly and what you will get in the box will not be the same
the norm is give a pro a top of the range heli make some videos
let the mugs that want one so bad see the videos and off to the shops thay will go

then new post's will start to appear saying why is my heli not got the power to do this and that
then it will be a case of you have to upgrade your motor /li-po packs/ esc/ new charger and more

that is why i will wait for the reports to come out on this forum and see what power pack and upgrades you will need to get some good flying fron the heli
i hope that i am wrong
for me i cannot afford to pay out that sum of money for a heli and find out that i have to pay out the same amount again to get good flight times etc

Since it's posted on a manufacturers web site I think it's way more than just talk. It's not just TT either. Of course when the finished product hits the streets is a different matter Same applies to the REx 600..... it's still not out yet either!

I could careless about the Heli manufactuers power system reccomendations. Design a nice strong, lightweight, CCPM, affordable 50 size that has a layout that will accept many differant motor/battery combinations. The power systems are out there for a 50 size heli, thats not a problem. I think we all can decide on what servos, gyro, rx and esc to use.

If I had my choice I would want a design like the 3DMP. The new MA 50 (which they have shown prototype pics of, ooohhhh:rolleyes looks to be a very nice setup, plus I have heard nothing but good thngs about MA products.

"Buy cheap, pay twice"

Align should really change the width of the frames and think about moving the motor mount so the motor is up top and batterys can fit into the frame. Of course, they did "say" that they have a new patent on battery mounts
