Okay I'm thinking of purchasing a Bergen EB for aerial work, what would be the best gear ratio for this application? I'm going to run 800mm sabs
Also what is the best engine to have the 23 or 26 (this will also affect question one)

The EB comes with a 12t pinion and 7.5:1 ratio. Also stock with a G26. I'm just wrapping up the final gallon for breakin and couldn't be happier. Stock out of the box with 810mm V-blades. This is one sweet machine.
Now to get my camera on it!

I'm running mine stock with the G26, and there is plenty of power there. You shouldn't have any problems lifitng your gear.

You'll love the machine. Smooth and powerful.

Of course, on this forum, you are going to get a somewhat biased opinion. I have not flown any other gassers, but I am into my third year with this one and it is top notch. While reasearching my options, one of the factors that swayed my opinion was the overwhelming positive comments on their customer service. Chris and Larry Bergen will always talk to you and help you with any problems and, if you are fortunate to be in the Michigan area, will spend time with you in their shop. Great customer service. Top quality gear. I would buy another from them without hesitiation.

Sounds to me like Below Average has already made the 'right' decision in chosing a Bergen. Since he's asked these questions, the only thing he doesn't know is that he won't have to do anything more complicated than order the stock EB. The good guys at Bergen have it layed out just like you want for AP. Write the check and start to enjoy! I'm wishing I had the coin for one of their Bad A$$ Turbine helis.

Best Service and people in the hobby!

I was at the feild with an issue and C. Bergen was on the phone helping me until we sorted the problem.

The dude I fly with said: Chit! you aint going to get service like that anywhere else. Im very happy with my Bergen EB and can smell a Bergen Turbine around the corner!

I picked up a Porsche 911S a couple of months ago with all the money I saved not buying nitro. Bergen's customer service blows their service away. About the only company I have bought from that comes close is Dell, and I don't get to talk to Michael Dell when I have a problem and he won't call my house to follow up on a question. You won't be disappointed with Bergen products and personnel.

I agree completely. Anyone who has spoken directly with Chris or Larry in otherwise off hours to help with a problem knows exactly what you mean. I've spoken with both of them in just such a situation an one can tell right away that they genuinly care about how you are doing with your heli! I've never experienced customer service like that before. And with such a great product too!

I totally agree with all this special service that is being talked about .I am fortunate enough to live with in comfortable driving distance of the shop and spend a lot of time at Bergen's shop and their home !!.. Many times I have been invited to dinner after picking up parts or just stopping by to chat and after a home cooked meal by Larry and Chris we'll set down to talk some more and watch some tv and Chris will pull out his laptop and do the forums or answer the phone for a quick question some one has as we watch tv.Larry usually falls asleep in the chair ,,but Chris is quick on the phone and puter.
Now that is service with a big Michigan smile

Below ,,,just order the EB with the 26 and you will be a happy camper
