... except when it'll be actually released to the masses and who'll be selling them. You can't seem to go anywhere to pre-order and "who will be carrying parts" is unknown.

March came and went! So did April. May is passing quickly. The Synergy web-site hasn't seen a single update in as many months as it has existed. TB and JK don't seem to want to provide any official information in any forums, leaving a huge door open for speculation, mis-information and rampant rumor. IMO, very bad way to start a business!!!!!

I believe Alan is with Align now.
Yeah, there seems to be a bit of confusion as to the availability of JKs Synergy, but hell, I don't envy anyone going into business selling a new heli. I believe it will be manufactured by Align, but I may be wrong.
I saw the Synergy flying at 3DM last year and it is certainly a very impressive performer Do a search, there's some great vids of the synergy on RR.

I recently attended Todd and Jason's 3D class and they are absolutely set on getting the model 100% before it's released. I had the pleasure of seeing them test the latest revisions, currently in "V3" status.

Those guys really know what they are doing and have put a lot of research and effort into the helictoper. I would say it's going to be worth the wait.

It sounded to me like the official release date was "When it's done".

I have talked to JK a lot about the Synergy - when he was in NZ last. It will be released when it is done - no sooner. It is one sweet bird and seems to be well worth waiting for. He is well aware of the release delays but would rather it be right than rushing it out the door. He will be up against stiff competition out of the gate so wants it to be close to perfect before it hits the streets. I applaud his professionalism actually, especially as I know he'd like to start recouping some of his own personal massive investment asap.

Sounds like Jason and Todd are doing the right thing by not releasing it yet, untill it is fully completed.
Why would anyone be whinning about this? Would you rather they rushed it out the door and let YOU the CONSUMER do the real world testing on it? I think not!

More companies should take lead and follow these guys. I can only hope that Align did the testing that they needed to with the new 600 T-Rex. Lets not have another T-Rex 405X.

Sounds like a lot of BS to me ... no model can be expected to be 100% ... EVER. Even more, what TB and JK consider 100% may not be the same as your average (or even other professional) flyers. Hence, it's ridiculous to assume that you'll have a product that will be 100% to everyone in every aspect. Additionally, if the rumors about Align producing the aircraft (or even parts), then we all know that it will be full of production problems. Time's up ... Synergy needs to come out or forever disappear!!!

If they have an official website then their is no excuse to not update it occasionally, say once a month. A one paragraph explanation of what stage they are at would not require too much effort even for the busiest of businesses or persons.

bkervaski, that's fresh!!!!! But obviously the truth hit a nerve with you and you're clearly just as pissed but can't bring yourself to admit it. A lot of folks are still waiting on the Synergy (and have been since they laid eyes on the first JK demo flight; I'm one of those people). My point is that the heli is ready now and it should be released. If there are still bugs that TB/JK and testers haven't found yet (maybe because there are none left?) then so be it. Now if they keep delaying for another 2, 3 or more months expecting to find something and fix it, when they finally release, what do you think will happen when someone finds a problem? Was all this time and delay really worth it? C'mon, let "common" folks get their hands on this heli and together we'll make it what TB and JK sought out to begin with.

I would expect the delays relate more to manufacturing issues such as schedules, finance and component/meterials sourcing than pre-production bug fixing. If you've ever been involved in manufacturing, you'll appreciate it can be a real nightmare in all directions.

Yes, that is correct, to be competitive, they have had to do some creative sourcing, which will keep the costs down but presents problems of its own. So there are many issues at stake and it'll be out when it's out.

truly words of wisdom. Ones I shall forever forget. Unexplanable stupid statements like that are what makes these forums a joke. And you are an expert flyer with experience to back it up? "heliman" is right I guess.....shows your limited exposure to heli's. Go troll elsewhere. Better still go make your own heli and release it. If all the whiners on here had a go they might back off when they realise the huge expensive task it would be.
I would rather not have to have a version 1 with an upgrade and then another to sort it out (like the oh so famous raptor) etc. I can imagine all the crying and whining on RR if that happened (just like the raptor)
I also applaud someone trying to do the homework first. Didn't mummy tell you patience was a virtue.

You're a regular Dr. Freud - so perceptive. Where did you do your psychology training?!

rcFAN: My point is that the heli is ready now and it should be released

Funny, when I was with TB & JK meeting with a business advisor, I don't recall you being there. Also, I'm in frequent contact w/ them, and I don't recall you being mentioned. Why? Because you aren't there, weren't there, and won't be there, and therefore you don't know crappola! Stick to whatever facts you know, which are few and far between, if you have any at all.

Pretty much EVERYONE agrees they have done a crappy job with communication. Although it frustrates me greatly also, I'd rather have a great heli w/ poor communication than the other way around.

I'd tell you it's going to be very soon, but you'd whine and piss and moan and cry and complain and berate and belly ache and admonish and pontificate and offer your astute business advice. So ignore what I was going to say ...
