| Slip or vibes...
Use a HS50 (or better) with fast smooth action, check the fragile servo gears are not slipping or broken.
Watch the tail servo, is it jumping about? The heli should be vibe free and silky smooth, any buzzing or oscillations will drive your gyro to malfunction.
Check for tail gear slip, hold head still and then turn the tail moderately, the conical gear may give way under load. Look for tail hub slip on the short tail drive shaft.
Try getting a steady tail in 'standard rate mode' with REVO mix enabled. If you can't lock the tail in rate mode then you'll have little chance with HH.
Don't give up, I have been through a few weeks locking the tail down. It's could be a combination of factors conspiring against you. When everything is smooth the Hornet is a lovely flyer but learning the setup can be a bi***. Have a look round my tips page and check the links to other useful sites, might just help to find that fix.
