Hi Lou, yeah I think Iam going to go ahead and order the kit. I already ordered the fan shroud and other little parts from Rick's this morning. 10 day wait is not bad. I can wait

I'm telling your WIFE!!!! HAHAHAHAHHA

OR you could always have it shipped to me if you need to. LOL

Yeah, I have thought about using an SZ with 8.45 ratio. Still thinking and I also need to make some more money first!

I asked Jeff about this and according to him, 8.45 was selected
because it worked well w/ both the YS and OS-91SZ

I'm not sure where the powerband is for the OS-SZ but Tower Hobbies lists it with a top rpm of only 15k. The YS91 is in the powerband at 14,700 which puts it right at 1750 on the head speed. I run mine at 1800... but if the OS-SZ tops out at 15k I doubt it'll turn 1800 on the head speed.

Only one way to find out. Buy one and run the dog snot out of it. As for me, I will stick with YS for a little while. Maybe by the time the pumped version hits stateside I will reconsider. YS is good enough for me for now.

Ben,
I am oredering an Avant EFX on the 25th. Could you list all the little bits you had to order to complete the kit? Thanks bro.

Ok Lou, here it is... 404044,414169,2534003,404677,2525007 these are Rick's part numbers. I also ordered a black tailboom (404651)and EX slide block(404731). Everything else can be taken off the evo 90. The tailboom and slideblock are personal preference

Ben,

One Evo and one Avant. That will be my fleet for the summer. If I am lucky, I will be able to pony up for a Logo by the end of the summer.

Make sure you use metal gears for ccpm servos, otherwise you will strip plastic gear.

Ben,

Looks great so far, I can't wait to see it in the air.

Raptorize,

The manual does state to use metal geared servos. However, several flyers here on RR are using 9252's which are plastic geared servos. To my knowledge, no one has reported a failure.

No problem, I was just trying to make Ben feel better. However, if I were him, I would be looking into some 9451's. But that's just me

servos

I was going to sell my almost new 9252's and buy 3 9451's but I had to draw the line somewhere on the budget. Iam sure I wont be stripping gears yet with my flying. From what I have read on here there are some guys using them without trouble. Thanks for the concern guys
