Thunder Tiger Raptors 30-90 - Imperio > How much would it take to get into a Raptor .30?

I have a Blade CP, and thought going nitro again would be way better than getting that overpriced $1200+ electric Trex. Plus no huge lipos to deal with. I already have a computer tx, PCM reciever, and some bb servos. How much do you think it would run for the rest of everything? I already have starters, field box, power panel, etc.

A .30 kit plus a futaba 401 gyro. Regular servos should work fine and the gyro is $120 - $180 depending on whether or not you get it with the servo. I'm not sure what the raptor 30 kits run, but go with an OS or Toki motor. Check out heliproz.com - they have the best prices and free shipping. I think you will be amazed at how well the nitro helis fly. Welcome to the club.

The best way to make a small fortune in RC Helis is to start out with a large one. Debt from above!

Hey.
If you get a raptor i would deffinatly recomend getting a Toki 40.
I bought 3 30's and then moved to a 50 because as many people say you feel you *out grow it*.
But then i get a guy called "colsy"...
I gave one 30 to my brother, and ones going scale...
I'm planning to take the hyper out of the 50 and put another toki in there, downsize her to a 30.

Its all about setup and collective managment!
This little R30v3 with a Toki 40, GY401/9254 and Jr 591 servo's is an absoloute pocket rocket!

Scarred the crap out of me but i'm meeting with him soon and we'r going to brush up my heli *grins*.

I'm Actually terribly excited

I agree, get the 50. The 50's are better running than the 30's!

A 50 sounds okay, but I'm mainley interested in a nitro with the cheapest replacement parts. Is there a difference between .50 and .30 parts, or are they basically the same heli with a different engines?

Most of the parts are identical (same part number) between the Raptor 30 and Raptor 50. There is very little difference in the price of the parts where they are different.
