Borneobear,

Good to see you over hear. The Knight will feel huge after flying the #36. You will be able to step right into it though, it is very easy to fly.

I now have ten flights on mine, breaking the motor in.

Hey Rak. I envy you.
I'll have to wait for my year end (hopefully) bonus to get what you're flying. Oh well... I'll practice more on my lil heli....

Good luck and thanks for all the info.

The reason there are very few possts in the Knight forum is because it has only recently been set up,,how many years has the Raptor one been going i wonder

Yeah. Apologies. I didn't realize you guys were so new.
Anyway, everyone will soon know the Knight50 rocks.
But conversion from one brand to another is expensive and painful (unless you are bloody rich) - so its gonna take some time.
I'm just glad I never took that al-cheapo Raptor I was once offered.

I bought an E-Flight CP Pro and fooled around with it for several weeks. It was so touchy and sensitive that I decided that maybe I had chosen the wrong hobby. Then I read some forum discussions that said sometimes the smaller birds are harder to fly than the big guys. So, I was still determined, and I bought a Knight 50 plastic version. (OS 50 Hyper, GY401.) It was a fairly easy kit to build and now I have more hover time on the Knight than I ever got on the CP. By 'hover time' I mean 1 ft. altitude in a 10 ft. circle so I still have a long way to go but I'm making more progress with the Knight. I guess smaller is'nt always better for the beginner.

Smaller is SELDOM better . With RC planes, and helis, larger is more stable, better in the wind, easier to see, and as you noted less twitchy.

Unfortunately most start out with small, and inexpensive which translates into harder to learn.
