Hello,

I have seen some pictures of these and it looks really nice. I understand that the fuselages come prefinished and that the head flys really well.

I will have to get one as soon as they are availble in the UK.

Hello,

My one of these arrived this morning.

I have an MS Composit CH46 Sea Knight and my first impression is that the kit has a very similar feel about it with shared components.

The body is pretty much assembled but still needs a little work. Its made from white plastic unlike the clear lexan of the CH46.

The flight battery goes in from underneath so that once the fuselage is fitted you do not need to remove it or split it down the middle to change batteries.

The rotorhead is the same as the three bladed heads on my CH46 except that the yoke is anodised black instead of blue, much better for a scale appearance.

It looks good and and I expect it to fly well.

Bear in mind that all multi rotor head heli's need some sort of electrical mixing unit to make them fly well. Have a look in the scale section and you'll see most guys with multi rotor heads are using some form of gyro/mixer.
Im not sure about the CH46, I do know it does use a mixer but Im not sure if thats to do with stability or for the dual rotor head timing.
Perhaps someone with one of these could comment.
Looks very tasty though

If you bling it, they will come :D

Hello,

I have both the CH46 and the Ecureuil.

The CH46 uses an on board mixer to provide the correct controls to the front and rear rotors, it has nothing to do with stability.

A gyro is used on the fore and aft cyclic for increased stability but it has this whether you use two bladed heads with flybars or the three bladed heads without.

My CH46 started with two bladed heads but now has the three blade heads, it flys just as well with the three bladed heads and if anything it is more stable and easier to fly.

The Ecureuil has no on board electronic mixing and only uses a gyro on the tail. I have flown it without the fuselage, it flys well and is really stable, the head speed is quite high which helps. I will fit the fuselage as soon as I have finished it.

I have already ordered one. MS started in US, it is not MrCarbon. I found on their web site. Try jjezek@mscomposit.com. I made an order there, it worked.

Nevermind, I see the 350 USD. Would you mind telling me what the kit includes? Is the body painted? Do you have any inflight video?

Hey well spotted

A shame they didn't manage to iron out the vibes to lock that tail down.
An MS-044 HH gyro and X-3D tail is rock solid for that kind of flying.
