Radio - Servo - Gyro - Gov - Batt > Stylus - Struggling with CCPM Setup

I am attempting to setup my first CCPM helicopter with a Stylus and the Heli Card. I've gone through the Finless videos for the TRex-CDE(thanks Finless!) and have the head pretty well straightened out. The problem I have is too much positive cyclic throw and confusion over which menu to adjust. If I understand correctly, the standard EPA menu doesn't do anything when the CCPM Swash mode is enabled. The CP-EPA menu seems to be for adjusting out CCPM interaction. So I'm left with the Servo-Limit menu but it doesn't seem to be working as I expected. I dropped the High Servo-Limits from the default +/-150% to +/-100% and don't see a difference. I dropped a couple of them down to ~70% and still didn't seem to impact the cyclic throw. Of course I can change the pitch curve, but that would mess with other things.

Any Stylus Guru's out there that can impart some wisdom on my setup issues?

Thanks,

Doug

I am using CP-EPA for the cyclic throw and keep cyclic SV-limit at 150% . Works fine !

Thanks CT - Do you have any CCPM interaction problems or did you dial them out with the CP-EPA also?

Doug,
I had done that also but it just easier to use the program mix to terminate if any interaction instead .

I'm confused by this post entirely. Is the problem collective or cyclic because you can't change the cyclic pitch with the pitch curve?

TM - Thanks for the clarification. You would be correct. I have too much collective causing the washout base to hit the main rotor housing. I get contact at just over 75% throttle stick throw.

Is the CP-EPA the best way to reduce the collective throw?

Thanks,

CP EPA is used to adjust swashplate endpoints at extremes of pitch travel. This is like using the endpoints on other radios with CCPM functions.

If you have too much collective adjust the linkage or move the balls in on the servo arms so that you can get rid of all of that pitch travel.

Thanks TM - I'll go take a look.

This is incorrect. The normal EPA screen becomes your "Swash AFR"/"Swash Mix" values. Channels 2 and 3 become your aileron and elevator values and channel 6 is the collective value. Note that you have a value for each direction of travel on each channel.

As John said, the normal EPA will control the travel of the collective, elevator and aileron independently. Use the CP-EPA to adjust the servo travel extremes.

Thanks John - That's where I went wrong. I didn't realize how the normal EPA screen was tied in. I'll put the CP-EPA's back to 100% and start with the normal EPA points.

On a separate note, I attached a bubble level to the flybar like in the Finless videos. How do you know the flybar is level to begin with relative to the helicopter? I'm assuming I shouldn't have to re-position the bubble when I rotate the flybar 90° but I see a pretty big shift when swithing from Elevator mode (90°-Out) versus parallel to the tail boom.
