| Hi
I am disapionted that some one let you fly a model which is not yet run in so presumably not fully set up yet, this would certainly make it difficult for any one to tell how the model will be when sorted out.
Regarding the models weight, I honestly don't know exactly what it is as the only scales I have are reading a little over, all I can say is it weights 500 grams less than a freinds R90 SE.
If I had to make a estimate I would say it is probably about 4.7KG.
It's light enough.
I preume the head speed must of been down or the the set up was not right as cyclic and collective power are not a issue, I run mine at 1880 head speed, the 91 SZ seems to like this and the model locks in at this speed.
I run V paddles on both of mine but I have flown one with SAB paddles and this was about the same cyclic power.
The G10 frames although slightly heavier and not as nice looking as carbon are tough as both myself and Jason have found out:-)
Carbon frames will be a option but the G10 really works well.
Switch loction, you could relocate the switch but the correct placement does keep it out of the oil and crap, you can reach up under the canopy or dremel a hole in the canopy, no big deal either way.
The ball link play is a old and well know issue, the steel balls on that machhine will have a black finish and were intended to be chrome plated, most likely the production balls will be hard finished and lot smooth finish than those ones, the current balls will not make to the production machines period!
Glade you recognized the good points on the machine, the stability in forward flight is also very very good for a full on 3D machine.
I hope the guys get it set up fully soon and you get a chance to fly it when it going correctly.
Get the guys to email me if they have any questions, bob@skylinemodels.co.uk
Cheers
