Its Finless that put it up on h.e.l.i.f.r.e.a.k (under his forum), it also shows how the batts hold up for a "average joe" pilot.

The batts seem to have enough punch for my taste, even though the flying was rather mundane. You should see the crash damage... practically minimal.

Just a little preview: alum head vs V Blade, the alum head won .

IMO for me and where I live, the main advantage of electric is that you can fly a micro/small heli locally, almost anywhere, without annoying folk. A big 50 sized e-heli is going to be dangerous and therefore needs to be flown in saftey at a club site or a field. And if your going to the trouble of driving to a club site, you may as well get a gasser or a nitro and spend the whole day flying there, instead of just a couple of 8 minute electric flights.

Could not agree more............ common sense will prevail and Align are in for some tough times ahead

That video just further proves to me that a below average pilot like me, will find more power than I'll need for a looooong time in that 600.

Plus, when I crash it, it'll take it well!

I do wish they'd keep the helical pinion though.....it was much more quite with that.

IMO, that really wasnt that bad of a crash. The tail and struts took most of the grunt.

We will see though when people start slaming them in different ways. Sure hope that the CF frame holds up. Those are probably going to be expensive.

Once again though, the frame will probably be no more expensive than the frame of any other 50 size heli.

I just can't get over how everyone talks about the 600 like it's something new. If you're worried about replacing a 50 size carbon fibre frame, then don't buy any 50 size heli with a CF frame.

The problems that people will encounter with this new bird are not unique to the 600. It's a 50 size bird, it will have 50 size problems.

If you're happy with your 450XL, then stick with it. If you're happy with your Nitro heli, then stick with it, and if you're scared of the size, the power, price of the batteries or whatever people have been constantly complaining about, then don't buy the 600.

The stock R50V2 frames cost $25.00. Yes they are not CF, but the frames that the 600 is comming out with are.

The CF Rex450 frames are $80.

What do you think that the Rex 600 CF frames are gonna cost?

I was mearly pointing out that it wasnt that bad of a crash IMO. Who was complaining?

I didn't think it was that bad of a crash either. And it was in a grassy field.

$80. for a CF Frame!?!?
The CF frame parts are $17-$18 per pair, so $35. for the frame...unless you're counting on breaking the metal parts as well (which are also available separate from a complete frame)

Grant,

The frame for Rex is ONLY 20 dollars. 80 dollars is with all the screws and plastic block. 120 for alum blocks.
