e-Lite Machines Corona > Rotor head slop on main shaft. what's the fix?

I just put a new CF feather rig on and changed my rotor head. The old one started slipping and melted. I had a spare head and put it on, but there seems to be a lot of slop using the stock screw. Should I just tighten it up, use a larger screw, or just fly it the way it is?

Mine does the same thing. You can tighten the screw and stop it for a while but the problem is the notch in the shaft is too large, maybe elongated from the screw!?!? I don't know that there is a fix other than a new shaft or cutting a smaller slot in the other side of it.

Yup. It is normal to be able to turn head about 1/4 of a turn before it engages the shaft. The screw hole in the plastic hub starts to elongate and the screw threads get mushed down as well. If you tighten screw too much you can deform the hub which brings its own set of problems. Best solution is a new hub or get an aluminum hub from Chopper-1. (If you have 4mm shaft. At one point he made a 5mm ID hub.) Someone said using a 4-40 screw with a shank lessened the problem.
