I don't have enough hours with it to know if it will harden up, but so far, so good! I'm not sure if I can explain this clearly, but I'll try:
Brand new Tygon line seems to have harden very quickly, to the point that it will sometimes slip off of a fitting if I'm not careful. The Aerotrend line starts off a little stiffer than Tygon is initially, but does not appear to harden in the same way. After a fair amount of gas, warm and cold weather, and so forth, it still pliable and grips all of the fittings like it did when new. All of the Tygon used at around the same time has hardened.
The next time I place an order with Tower, I will probably get that 30' spool just to have some extra around. I like it!
BK,
You're being argumentative and non-productive in this discussion. A spark hot enough to ignite fuel can have many causes. Fires have been caused simply from then engine backfiring during a bad start attempt. A bad ignition wire can cause an even worse spark.
As long as the innards of the pump are grounded, the odds of sparking rapidly approaches zero.
