How is the precision tail rotor with steel hub? Any failures with this one?

Thanks,
Rick

Same question as above. I was thinking about getting one but the bad press that MH has gotten lately is putting me off.

Disregard.. mine is a Heliup tail grips with steel hub.

f either of you want a deal on a new, unused one let me know. It was suggested to me by rchover but I do not like the way it fits. It has never been run.

On the pro tail all of their issues have been resolved, they are using the brass pins with E Clips now and it is a solid tail. I run two of them and well over 50 flights, slop free, smooth good control imho. I like it much better than the stock SE tail as it truly allows equal degree settings for left and right piro. In the beggining they certainly had issues, but I am happy with mine now, cheers.

Have the MicroHeli Pro tail on mine and it is awesome. Have about 30 f;lights in it so far with NO problems. I have headspeed over 3000 RPM and am using carbon tail blades without the slow-down gear ..... worst case scenario and no failures!

only on compllaint on the MH tail .. is it just me?

The only odd thing I found on the MH tail was the part that wasnt assembled, the balllink connector to the slider. The screw is put from the down side upwards with no nut, I guess you just hope it dosent shake loose? I put a nut and some locktight and it hasnt moved a bit, just seemed weird to me, but im farily new to micro helis and helis overall or at leaset on building them. Whynot have a screw that come from the top down vs being upsdie down?

I got uH protaik system with blue slide on my g4. Love it , it work like a charm, easy on the belt job, without everything falling apart like align se tail

I like their tail and THATS IT. Their head is a little soft, along with the aluminum they use.

I have two sets of the Microheli Protails and they both Vibe like no tomorrow. Still trying to work out the issues. I'd go with the Heliup or Duzi tail if you could afford it.

I have MH, new Heliup and Duzi and Align tails - I have the original MH Pro and have had no pin problem (YET) - The Pro is SMOOTH and works beautifully - my favorite however is the new Heliup - it is a work of art and is near perfect in action (costs a fortune and may have trouble getting replace. parts ) I have a post with pics ("my new tail" from weeks ago you can "search". LOTS of people have the Pro tail and with the new pins all sounds excellent - IMO you will certainly like it .

Well, I ordered it. Hopefully with the white gears and the non-exploding tail I will finally be happy with this thing. I hate spending another $50-60 on top of the SE price, but I didn't feel confident flying fast backwards, inverted, low to the ground with the slow tail ratio of the blue gears (4:1 - come on!). It can be done, but man do you have to be PERFECT at all times or blow out!

Thanks everyone,
Rick

No, the tail hub and blade grips were $39, plus the cost of the white gears....

I am running 3K + HS on both my rexes, zero vibrations on the protail on either of mine. You have bad bearings or something.....

have you tried swapping out different tr blades or balancing etc.... before assuming bearings....?

Just a thought, cheers.

Shawn

hey thanks dude...are these the same brand MH uses? I would think not considering they are brand new and seem to have a bit of play in them already.

Hey you sure about that part number i looked it up and can't find anything on it on the Boca site.

These are the bearings that I am using in my uH protail setup. Microheli has changed the source that they use for all of their bearings, and the newer bearings are much better than the olser ones. I use ceramics because I have excessive headspeed, which creates excessive tail speed. Standard bearings are not rated for any rotational speed much over 16000 RPM.

you dont by any chance have a direct order link for those bearings just in case MH does not get back to me. Can't seem to find that part # on their site.
