flying to-day swift flew very nice then had lock-out lasted about 2second's got it back ,then on the other battery had two other lock-out's then smash!!!!
the problem with the battery heli's you have to go pcm & rx must be as faraway as you can from speedcontroller!!!!
i think i'm going to go back to ppm rx & then fight threw the glitch!!!!!! if i ever have any more coz altering the electrics.

if you heli-guys could let me know some of your set-ups with out havin any problem's i would be happy!!!!!!!.

Sorry to hear of your crash Paul, I've yet to have a single lock-out with PCM in the Swift yet and my placement is fairly ordinary apart from moving the speed controller to the back of the side frame. I guess a switch to PPM would certainly show if there were any glitches which might cause a lock-out, maybe one of the receivers with a built in glitch counter?

I used to have loads of glitches with the Trex outdoors, sometimes bad enough to turn it on its back, although I've since discovered that the Align ESC I was using is knackered

Anyway, see you tomorrow morning?

Hi Paul,

I'm sorry to have heard this happen to you mate, this kind of thing is never good to hear.

I must admit I have been very lucky so far and not had any incidents of lockouts with the layout I have on my model.

Just as a matter of interest, your not using a seperate BEC unit to power the Rx and servo's are you? I trawled though our PM's but never found anything to show me your setup.

Hope you have the model up and running again as soon as possible.

I've never had a 'lockout' due to the layout. I'd be looking a lot more closely for a broken servo wire, broken antenna wire, loose servo plug, intermittent switch, bad receiver, etc. These items are especially suspect if you have had multiple crashes with the same electronics.

I run an sbec for a dedicated bec and although I may be committing a sin I fly my electri helis with the JR spektrum radio. I only sport fly and have tested range to further than I care to fly without incident. Operating on 2.4 Ghz it is totally immune from rf problems.

I had a zoom 400 amd eco8 which started to glitch and after changing to spektrum rx.'s absolutely no problems.

I'm running the XP6102DX.

JR6102 with the Spektrum DX6 module and antenna in it.

Glitch free in a glider at 1,000ft +, Raptor 30, Eflight P47, MX400, Trex's and the Swift.

Damn best $250 I ever spent.

I know proper esc/rec'v/bec placement/wiring really helps.

... But honey it was only $$$
