| thought I should tell this interesting story...
I was out flying my chopper one day and every thing was working fine,
was coming in to land,bang motor almost died just before I landed.went flying agian, same thing.

now the hunt is on for the problem
spark plug
the carb is having problems,dirt
spacer between carb and engine leaking [air leak]
new piston and ring over [heating maybe]
replaced cank case;still looking for air leak
I'M running out of things by now
and has this problem happened to some one else?
bingo--when flying the hele for the last time with
canopy off ,I notice when the chopper was giving me trouble
the throtle servo arm was moving when wasn't asking it to. I was getting interference from something. my raido was going into fail safe putting the chopper into idle for a split second or two.I thought it was over heating, air leaks, took it apart,bearing inner race spinning on main shaft
still under investgation,head speed to low. operator abuse? |
