hi all

at the mo i have a Fury 90 very nice machine apart from the cost of the bits. so i'm thinking of getting rid and replacing it for a EVO 90.

my question is. how well does the evo90 stand up to the Fury.

thx

I got rid of my Fury Extreme after flying the EVO 90. The EVO 90 can be made to be just as quick, but it tracks better.

I happen to believe the Evo 90 will handle very well. It's a very well built and sterdy machine. Plus it's no where near as expensive. You won't be disapointed! Sell that FURY!!!

Blighty, does this signify a possible trend for everyone to start ditching their Fury's and returning to Hirobos? Will J2M and Ian follow

I don't know what the EVO is like, but the standard Freya is tons of fun, and a much reduced pucker factor compared to the Fury/Vigors of this world.

jczankl....... i couldn't get the vid you posted working, but i had a look at some of the other vid's in your gallery. looks like she's up to the job.could you tell me what pitch servo you have?

the other thing is what gearing does the 90 have? i will be using the YS and MP2 out of the fury.

well it happened with the evo50's even J2M had a go with my 50 on Sunday. he's considering getting rid of the " heli's that can't be named " for evo 50's. talking of Sunday ian uploaded the vid. it a bit on the small side, but not to bad... http://media.putfile.com/Wild-Terry

back to the 90. i take it you can get CX damp' for her. i will probably make ali' ones for it like i did with the evo50 not to be a bighead but the CX ones only lasted 2 gallons. the ali' one have been in their for 7 months survived 1 crash and they still look good as new.

The stock gearing (8.45) is perfect for the YS. To make the heli really hot, you will need to run 1900+, which is out of the power band of the MP2, however.

Don't get CX dampers. Just get the Hirobo 80 duro dampers for the EVO90, they are awesome.

The gearing you can get the kit with either, or. In mine I am running the Futaba 9451 servo's all around. But 9252's will work and so will 9404's. Good strong servo's. Gearing is 8:4.5 I believe.
