e-Mikado Logo 400 500 600 > Logo 10 Deluxe vs Logo 10 3D

I was just wondering if the Logo 10 3D is worth the extra 180 dollars (400 vs 220). If it's worthed, I'd appreciate also if you give me a reason why.

My setup will be
ORK 1910 1Y
15C 6S 3850 batts

Thanks
Josh

alum swashplate, fully ballraced mixing arms, the new LLS head, lightened 3D paddles, etc. --- worth a lot more than $180.

can you really "feel" the difference between stock vs alum swash?

I looked it over, and the new Deluxe includes the new upgraded LLS Head. The new Stock swash has an alum inner hub. It seems to me that the only big difference is

1) Alum swash (just the outside part now )
2) Carbon blades vs woodies
3) "Fully ball-raced" (what does that exactly means -- vs 20 ball bearings.
4) BB mixer amrs (maybe)
5) 3D blade dampeners (what's so 3D about it???)
6) 3D paddles (an easy and cheap upgrade when my skill says I'm "worthy enough ).

I don't really care about CF stabilizers, stainless steel linkages. It's just more bling to me.

I know that all the differences, when added will be > 180 dollars, but do you really get 180 dollars worth of performance difference? If so, I'm all for it. I started with a TRex SE, and I can confidently say that it was worth the difference.

Thanks for all your inputs.

You know, I don't know -- whether you can feel the differences or not depends on your skill level, I think.

The alum outer part of the swashplate has more precise, wear-resistance metal link balls vs the molded on plastic balls which brake easier and may be worn down quicker. But then, there are people who are perfectly happy with the plastic balls.

All ballraced joints, including the mixing arms, makes all the linkages fit well but loosy-goosy, eliminating lots of frictions. Better than using bushings in these joints.

CF vertical fin is not just for bling. It is a lot tougher than the stock plastic one, which may brake easily when the tail hit the ground on hard landings.

Of course, all these can be upgraded when "upgrade opportunities" occur.

Eventually, you will spend more than that $180, either over time in installments, or all at once for $180 now.

But, you are right, for $216, you can't beat the value for a 3D-able Logo 10.

Does Mikado use any plastic balls at all in the regular Logo 10? Ball raced means ball bearing right?

Two places that have plastic balls -- the plastic swashplate and the square cornered control bridge.

Ballraced does mean ball bearings, not bushings.

Tail blade holders have plastic balls in both versions. The 3D have plastic tail fins, not CF.

BoneDoc, seems like you have all ready made up your mind. Sounds to me like the Deluxe is for you

Well,

If someone can really tell me that the3D is so much better (or at least worth 180 dollars), then, I wouldn't mind plunking down the cash at all. For example, the TRex SE has all blinged out head and tail + CF frame for about 230 dollars more. I'm thinking right now, that I might be better of with just customizing my upgrade.

I can get a microheli swash for 50-60 dollars for example, cheaper than the Mikado version...

Is there someone who would say that the Deluxe is "crap" compared to the 3D?

Lol,

I talked to John from readyheli, and he was very helpful. It seems the biggest deal is the alum swash and carbon blades, both are upgradeable items later when the inevitable happens .

That is true. There will be plenty of "upgrade opportunities" in the future.

The Mikado woodie blades actually fly quite well and only 1/4 price of the CF's.

From what other say, woodies also allow the other parts of the heli to survive crashes better... and I'm not out of the crashing "stage" yet .

"The Mikado woodie blades actually fly quite well and only 1/4 price of the CF's."

But the price is unreal for woodies, $32. I E-Mailed Heliproz/Mavrikk about manufacturing blades for the Logo10. Now if I can access my mail!
