Well,
Of course it had to happen to me, aparently my transmitter contrary to what i can see is not ON by Reflex standards.

I have tried in 8 different computers by now, two of them were clean XP installs, deleted drivers, re installed drivers, plugged dongles, well you get the point.

I assume i got a bad usb dongle, having 8 bad computers is a little harder, or at least the odds are against it. I am still waiting for the guys in Germany to respond to a couple of emails telling me what to do, i suppose i have to send this usb wonder back and get a new one.

In any case, the radio is a futaba 8u, ppm mode, the usb dongle is recognized durimg install, the computers have all been windows XP sp2 and sp1, abit kv7, asus a8v, and a p4 packard bell. i tried a clean xp install on the asus and the abit. also used the drivers on their web page.

If by any chance, you see something that i failed to try please tell me, i am completely out of ideas.

At least the packard bell is not mine, i didnīt make THAT mistake.

I don't have futaba, but on the
jr8103, you don't turn the transmitter on,
when you plug in to the tx.
Look at my gallery, the guy I bought the reflex from,
did a mod, to the plug. And there is picture of the dongle
as to wire solder points.

If I recall correctly, the Futaba 8U is basically the same radio as the Hitec Eclipse 7.

There is a bit of a trick to make it work properly with XTR.
Step 1: Make sure you computer is connected to a grounded outlet
Step 2: Set the TX to "PPM" and "Positive shift" (SFT.P)
Step 3: Turn radio on, and when reflex asks you to calibrate, just cancel it
Step 4: Bring up "Channel monitor" and adjust your subtrims and EPAs so it matches +-100% in Reflex

Reflexing

Have you tried another Tx with the dongle might see if it is in fact the dongle I have an eclipse 7 and have had no problems. Hope I didnt just jinx myself. below is my pc athlon 64 6800 n-videa Powerpack 1 gig 400 ddr mem. sata 250 gig HD custom built by yours truly Oh the mobo is a MSI KT 8 neo. "Cheers," as you say in the UK.

i think there is no positive shift on the 8u, so i canīt try that.

unfortunately i donīt have a different transmitter at hand, too bad i sold my 7u.

Diego,

I have one of the original USB dongles and am running an Futaba 8UHF helicoper TX and did not run into any problems at all. Didn't have to do anything but install software and connect the dongle. But, there is another possiblity why you are having problems and it could very well be the TX trainer plug. I did long before I had the Reflex program had to send my TX back to Futaba for warrany repair of the trainer cord jack. It turned out the solder connections made at the factory were defective and would cause the radio to fail. I found this out at the flying feild when it failed on a preflight. Fortunatly the heli never left the ground and also went into failsafe mode and kept the engine at idle.

All fixed.

After getting a new dongle everything works, great support from the people in Germany.

Too bad the first one was bad.
