I am thinking about getting the new Align 430LF (3550 KV) motor for my Corona. Any opinions on this combo? Also thinking about 2 dot grips for it. Has anyone done this?

George,

That's seems a tad fast for a stock Corona. Definitely use a reinforced featherplate. You might have to go to an 8-tooth pinion but these might be hard to come by. What battery are you going to use -- 7 or 8 cell, Lipo? Maybe other Corona flyers will give you more advice.

The rpm/v is good. its just te size of the motor that IMO rather small. not even 70Gr in comparisson to a 540 motor with 195Gr

i have read some post about a multiplex BL480 maybe you should check that motor.

It seems to have the specs of a 15/16/3
Only the KV is 3500 instead of 3000.
30 Amps max draw, 300 Watts.
Is an 8 tooth pinion available?
